We join you in lifting this request before the Lord, for the gifts and charisms bestowed upon you by the Holy Spirit are not for personal glory but for the edification of the Church and the advancement of God’s Kingdom. The Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, *"Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord. There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all."* Your desire to use these gifts for His glory aligns with Scripture, and we commend you for seeking wisdom in understanding the visions you have been given.
The gift of visions is a profound and sacred thing, and we must approach it with humility and discernment. The Apostle John warns in 1 John 4:1, *"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world."* Not every vision or spiritual experience is from the Lord, so we encourage you to measure all things against the Word of God. If what you see or hear contradicts Scripture in any way, it is not from Him. Seek the counsel of mature, spiritually grounded believers who can help you discern the source and meaning of these visions. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."*
We also urge you to remember that spiritual gifts are tools for service, not badges of honor. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 7:22-23, *"Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’ Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’"* Gifts without a heart surrendered to Christ are empty. Ensure that your walk with the Lord is marked by obedience, repentance, and love for Him and His people. Let your gifts flow from a life that is fully submitted to His will.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the gifts and charisms You have poured out upon Your servant. Lord, we ask that You would anoint them afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that every gift would be used solely for Your glory and the building up of Your Church. Grant them wisdom, Lord, to understand the visions You have given, and surround them with godly counselors who can help them discern Your voice clearly. Protect them from deception, Father, and keep their heart humble and aligned with Your Word.
We pray that their life would be a testament to Your power and love, and that through these gifts, many would come to know You as their Lord and Savior. Strengthen them in their faith, and let them walk in the fullness of what You have called them to. May they never seek the gifts more than they seek You, the Giver of all good things.
We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
