Change

Beloved of All
I made a change because I had to. I hope not to get into trouble for it. Hope it turns out. As if I didn’t make that change something worse would have happened. Hope to have enough food and supplies for the next five or so days. Some things might ger harder in the next few days, help me get through it, as I won’t have the energy to deal with it, as must deal with lack of sleep.

We have read your request and we are standing with you in prayer together over this change you felt you had to make and the worry that follows it, and over the needs you have for the next five or so days for food and supplies and strength when you are already weary from lack of sleep.

We understand the weight of wondering if you will get into trouble and hoping things turn out, and feeling that if you had not made that change something worse would have happened. We bring that burden to the Lord who sees your heart and your circumstances. We encourage you to walk in truth and integrity before God, trusting Him with the outcome even when you had to make a hard decision under pressure. Proverbs 28:13 says He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them obtains mercy. If this change involved anything that was not fully honest or right, we encourage you to confess it to God and make it right where you can, trusting His mercy. If it was a necessary and honest decision to prevent greater harm, we pray you will have peace knowing God is sovereign and He works all things together for good for those who love Him as Romans 8:28 reminds us.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and peace with Him. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, confessing Him as Lord, for that is how we are saved and how our prayers are heard.

We pray for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You know the change that was made and the reason behind it and the fear of trouble that now weighs on the heart. We ask You to cover this situation with Your grace and mercy, to bring a good outcome according to Your will, and to protect from what would have been worse. Give wisdom for the next steps and a clear conscience before You.

Lord, we ask You to provide for every need for food and supplies for these next days. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Matthew 6:31-33 says Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, What will we eat, what will we drink or, With what will we be clothed For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Let Your provision be seen daily.

We also bring the weariness and lack of sleep before You. You know the days ahead may get harder and the energy is already low. We ask for Your strength to be made perfect in weakness as 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, and that You would give power to the weak as Isaiah 40:29 says He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. We pray for rest when rest is possible, for Your peace to guard heart and mind. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray Psalm 4:8 over this night and the nights to come, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. And Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Help this dear one to cast all worries on You because You care, as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and to take one day at a time, for Matthew 6:34 says Each day’s own evil is sufficient. Give endurance, give sleep, give daily bread, and give assurance that You are in control.

We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear how heavy these past days have been. You made a hard change because you felt you had to, and now you are carrying worry about whether it will bring trouble, while also trying to make sure you have enough food and supplies for the next several days. It makes sense you feel worn down, especially with little sleep and not much energy left to face what may be harder ahead.

We are praying for steadiness for you through these next five days. One small step that may help is to take a few minutes today to look at what you do have on hand and note what you might need, and if you can, let a trusted friend, family member or local community resource know you could use a little support. You do not have to carry the planning alone.

You mentioned lack of sleep leaving you with little energy. If that continues, we encourage you to reach out to a doctor or clinic alongside prayer, just to have someone check in on you.

We care about you and we are holding you in prayer.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring this person before You. You see the change they made and the worries they carry. Provide what is needed for the coming days, grant moments of real rest, and give wisdom and peace as they take each next step. Keep them in Your care. Amen.

Your words have been heard and laid before the Lord, and we have prayed for you in your present trial.

You speak of a change you felt compelled to make, and of the fear lest trouble should follow, and of need for food and supplies and strength for the days ahead while you are wearied with lack of sleep. This is a heavy burden to carry alone, and it is right that you have brought it to God who sees and knows all your way.

There is a fear which is not a dread that appalls the soul, but a filial fear, the reverent awe of a child before his Father, lest he should do anything contrary to his Father's mind and will. When that holy fear rules the heart, it drives out slavish dread of man and of circumstance. He who fears the Lord need not fear the face of trouble, for he has the ear of the King of kings. And there is a promise that meets your very need, when the heart asks, Will He plead against me with His great power? The answer of faith is, No, but He will put strength in me. You confess you will not have energy to deal with what lies ahead. The Lord Himself will be your strength. He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.

Remember also Jacob, who cried, Deliver me, I pray, for I fear. He had just known a great deliverance and yet fear returned, but he turned his fear into prayer, and pleaded the promise, And Thou saidst, I will surely do thee good. Do you likewise turn your fear into prayer. Tell the Lord your want of daily bread, your want of sleep, your want of wisdom concerning the change you have made. He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows knows your need for these five days and for all the days to come.

Forgiveness is the fountain of this true fear and confidence. Through the blood of Jesus Christ, who shared our flesh and blood that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death and deliver them who through fear were subject to bondage, we have peace with God. If you are trusting in Christ alone for salvation, you may come boldly and know that your sins are covered, not with a covering of your own making, but with the righteousness which God Himself provides.

We pray for you now.

O Lord God of Abraham and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, look upon this weary one. Forgive sin through the precious blood of Christ and give the holy filial fear which is the beginning of wisdom. Deliver from slavish dread of trouble and of man. Provide food and all needful supplies according to Thy riches in glory. Grant sleep to Thy beloved and renew strength to the weary. Put Thou strength in Thy child for the hard days that may come, and make Thy grace sufficient. Keep from all evil and cause this change, made under necessity, to work for good, and lead in the way of peace. In Jesus Christ our hope, Amen.

I'm not usually someone who would do this, but I think my prayers need a bit of a boost. I interviewed last week for a bank teller position at a place 6 minutes away from me. It would be life-changing, especially since I'm so used to retail. It would be stable hours, benefits, and just an...
