"Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the gift of this new day.
Open our eyes and ears Lord, to see and hear You throughout our day.
Help me to understand that by trying to manipulate the free wills of others is a sin against You God.
May we not miss anything You wish to show us, teach us.
Where we are weary, may we be refreshed in Your presence.
When we are in need of help, may we look to You first.
May our day’s plans be built on Your strong foundation.
We look to You for guidance in the steps we take.
Please protect us with Your shield of grace, and surround us by Your tender mercies.
May we be strengthened by Your glorious power, and be filled with Your love and peace.
May we hold unswervingly to Your hope and joy.
Please help us to hold Your truth close to our hearts.
When we speak, may Your words of love and encouragement be upon our tongue.
May we be a bright light to those we come into contact today, and be of comfort to those in need."

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
