Dear Lord Jesus, I was an hostile work environment HR and the employer were being a bully towards him and he’s thinking of quitting. Please don’t let him quit at least not for a few more months anyway about a half a year or a little over then he can think of quitting and then move out Or a better solution, please make the environment a lot more friendly and make these other jerks quit or something happened to them like they could lose their jobs cause other people that are screwing up. How about changing their hearts or something just two weeks ago he said he was doing a good job being performed well and then all of a sudden something’s changing if you could please reverse that back. In Jesus Name Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. We hear your heartfelt cry for help in this difficult work situation, and we stand with you in bringing this before our Heavenly Father. The workplace can indeed become a battleground when hostility and unfair treatment arise, and we understand the frustration and pain that comes with such circumstances. Let us first address this with the truth of Scripture and then lift this situation in prayer.

The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." This reminds us that our ultimate accountability is to God, not to unjust employers or coworkers. However, we are also called to be wise and discerning in how we navigate such environments. Proverbs 16:7 says, "When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." This does not mean we should seek harm or retaliation against those who mistreat us, as vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). Instead, we trust in His justice and timing.

We must also rebuke the spirit of bitterness or desire for harm toward others, even those who act unjustly. In Matthew 5:44, Jesus commands us, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This is not easy, but it is the path of Christlikeness. We are called to overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21), not with more evil. Let us pray that God would soften hearts, both your heart and the hearts of those causing the hostility, so that His will may be done.

We also want to encourage you to seek wisdom in how to respond practically. If the environment is truly toxic, it may be necessary to explore other options, but we agree that hasty decisions can sometimes lead to greater hardship. Proverbs 21:5 reminds us, "The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty." Trust that God can open doors in His perfect timing.

Let us now pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this difficult work situation. Lord, we ask that You would intervene in this hostile environment. Soften the hearts of those who are causing strife and bring conviction where there is injustice. We pray that You would protect and strengthen Your child in this trial, reminding them that their labor is ultimately for You.

Father, we ask that You would provide wisdom and clarity in how to navigate this season. If it is Your will for them to remain in this job for a time, give them the endurance and grace to do so with integrity. If it is time for a change, open the right doors at the right time. We trust in Your provision and timing, Lord.

We also pray for those who are acting unjustly. Change their hearts, Lord, and turn their ways toward righteousness. Let them see the error of their ways and repent, or remove them from this situation if that is Your will. But we ask that You would do this in a way that brings glory to Your name and not out of a spirit of vengeance.

Above all, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. Let Your peace reign in this workplace, and let Your child walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are their ultimate Provider and Protector. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to lean on Scripture for strength. Psalm 37:5-6 says, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." Keep your eyes on the Lord, and He will guide your steps. If possible, seek godly counsel from a pastor or trusted believer who can offer wisdom and support during this time. You are not alone in this struggle, and God sees every injustice. Trust in Him.

We are praying with you for him, and we can hear how much you care about what he is going through. Watching someone you love be bullied at work, especially when HR is part of the problem, is heavy and frustrating. It makes sense you would want the situation to turn around quickly, and that you are hoping he can hold on a little longer if it is safe and possible for him to do so.

That sudden shift you described, from being told he was doing well two weeks ago to now feeling targeted, can be very disorienting. When an environment turns hostile it is hard to think clearly about next steps, and the thought of quitting can feel both like relief and like another pressure.

One way we can support him is to walk beside him without adding pressure about a timeline. Listening well, asking what he feels he needs most right now, and helping him keep a private, factual record of what is happening with dates and details in a safe place outside of work can help him see patterns more clearly. If he has a trusted mentor or a wise counselor outside the company to talk through options with, that outside perspective can be steadying as he weighs staying, seeking a transfer, or planning a later move.

Father, we lift this man to You. You see how he is being treated and how tired he must feel. Give him wisdom, protection, and peace as he makes decisions, and work in that workplace to bring fairness and kindness. Give our friend here grace to encourage him well. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer concerning this trial in the workplace has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.

To be in a place where those who should act justly become as bullies is a heavy burden, and to feel the pressure to quit while needing to remain is a sore contradiction. Scripture knows this kind of endurance. Our Lord Himself endured the contradiction of sinners against Himself with singular courage and holy equanimity, and He has set a halo round about our griefs since He endured them first. We are called to consider Him who endured, that we may not grow weary.

You ask that this dear one might be kept from a hasty departure, and that if it be possible the environment might be made more friendly and just. This is a right prayer. We do not pray that evil would befall others, for vengeance belongs to the Lord, but we do pray that God would change hearts, restrain unkindness, and bring justice where there has been oppression. Two weeks ago he was told he was performing well, and now the word has changed. God sees this reversal and He is not blind to it. We ask the Lord to reverse what is unjust, to give favor where favor is due, and to let truth speak clearly concerning his labor.

The Scriptures teach us the precious doctrine of perseverance, not by our own strength but by the grace that keeps us. As it is written, the righteous shall hold on his way, and they shall not depart from me, for the Lord puts His fear in the heart and secures His people even to the end. That same preserving grace which keeps the soul in holiness is able to keep a man steady in a difficult providence, to give patience under trial, wisdom in affliction, and courage to do what is right without bitterness.

So let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, look upon this servant who labors under a hostile hand. You know the words spoken against him, the bullying he endures, and the temptation to quit before the time. Grant him grace to persevere in holiness, to hold on his way with integrity and meekness, and to endure this contradiction as Christ endured, with calm trust in You. Put Your hand upon those in authority, soften hard hearts, turn away from oppression, and make this workplace a place of fairness and peace. Where judgment has been twisted, bring it back to truth. Give him wisdom whether to stay for a season as he desires or to seek another provision, and open the right door in Your perfect time. Sustain him daily, provide for his needs, and let him know that You who have begun a good work will perform it until the day of Christ. Keep him from weariness and guard his heart from resentment. Let Christ be his strength and his example in all endurance.

We ask this trusting not in our own merit but in the effectual redemption and unfailing promise of our God, who has said they shall never perish. Amen.

Your prayer for ### in this hostile work situation has been heard, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus with compassion and hope.

It is painful when a workplace turns from encouragement to bullying, especially when only two weeks ago his work was praised as good and now it feels reversed. It is understandable to ask God to keep him steady for the next six months or so until a better time to move, and even more to ask God to make the environment friendly again.

Scripture teaches us to pray at all times with perseverance and watchfulness. Like the widow who kept coming to the judge, like the friend who knocked at midnight, like the Canaanite woman who would not stop pleading, we are called to keep praying even when we feel unworthy or unheard, trusting that perseverance itself forms us and opens the way for God to act. I encourage you and ### to continue in that kind of constant, patient prayer, not only for relief but for strength to endure faithfully while you wait.

It is also right that you asked for changed hearts rather than harm. God is just, yet He mingles mercy with justice. While our first impulse when we suffer is to want those who mistreat us to lose their place or be punished, the Lord calls us to a better way, to show consideration even while we suffer, and to desire their transformation more than their downfall. So let us not pray that others would lose their jobs out of revenge, but that God would convict, soften, and change hearts, including the hearts of managers and HR, that they would act fairly, speak truthfully, and treat ### with dignity. Pray that what was good in his work would again be seen clearly and that any injustice would be corrected in a way that honors God.

At the same time, no one can truly harm the person who does not injure himself before God. If ### walks with integrity, does his work faithfully, and keeps his conscience clear, his standing before God remains secure even when people act unjustly. That does not mean he must simply endure abuse without wisdom. Pray for clear guidance about whether to stay or to leave, for provision for the months ahead, for wise counsel from mature believers, and for practical steps like keeping a careful record, seeking godly advice, and using proper channels with honesty and calm.

Let us pray together:

Lord Jesus Christ, You see ### and You know this workplace, every word spoken and every pressure he feels. Grant him endurance and peace, guard his heart from bitterness, and give him wisdom to know when to stay and when to go. Soften the hearts of those who have acted as bullies, bring them to repentance and fairness, and make this environment one of respect and truth. Let his good work be recognized again and let justice be done with mercy. Provide for all his needs in the coming months, open the right door for the future at the right time, and help him to trust You daily and to pray without ceasing. In Your holy name, Amen.

Continue to lift him up, to encourage him in the Word, and to seek peace as far as it depends on you, trusting that God will prove and refine every work and will not abandon those who call on Him.

It is painful to watch someone who was told he was doing well suddenly face bullying and pressure, even from those who should protect him. In such seasons God is often doing a deeper work. Scripture tells us to count it all joy when we go through hard testings, because God first works in us before He works through us. At times that work feels like chipping away at rough edges, and we do not always understand it or like it, but it is needful. God is working in you and in him because He has a plan and a work He wants to accomplish for His glory, and He will perfect that which concerns you. The sooner we yield to Him and let His Spirit do the work, the more quickly that work is formed in us.

We also remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces that seek to hinder the work of God in our lives. The enemy has many tools. He will use ridicule, discouragement, and direct opposition to try to stop us or make us quit. The right response is not to be drawn into bitterness or to return evil for evil, but to continue faithfully in the work God has given, keeping a mind to work and keeping our eyes on the Lord. We do not need to be distracted by every attack, but to stay busy with what God has placed in our hands.

I understand your desire to see the environment become friendly quickly, and your thought that those who are acting unjustly would simply leave or lose their jobs. Our hearts can feel that way when we see injustice, but our prayer is better directed toward what God desires. We do not pray for harm to come to others, even those who act harshly. Instead we pray as Scripture shows, that God would turn hearts, even the hearts of those in authority, and strengthen hands for good. God is able to stir hearts and to change them. Only He can bring true change in a workplace, and He can also protect and sustain the one who is under pressure.

It is also wise not to make hasty decisions out of discouragement. If you wait on the Lord, He will work things out in His time. Our impatience often gets in the way of the work God wants to do. Pray for clear wisdom about whether to stay or to go, and for provision for the right time to make any move. Pray that God would give endurance, favor, and a willing heart to do the work well day by day, and that He would give His angels charge to keep and guard him.

Above all, we rest not in our own performance or in whether an employer praises us, but in the finished work of Jesus Christ. When Jesus was asked what is the work of God, He answered that it is to believe on Him whom the Father has sent. Our salvation rests on His grace and His work, not our own. He drew us to Himself and gave us faith to believe, and that grace is our standing. When work is hard and praise is withheld, we can still rest in His finished work for us.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear one who is facing a hostile environment. You see the bullying, the pressure, and the sudden change after he was told he was doing well. We ask that You would do Your good work in him through this trial, forming patience, strength, and Christlikeness, and that You would help him to count it joy and to submit to Your shaping hand. Guard his heart from discouragement and from the schemes of the enemy. We ask that by Your Spirit, not by might nor by power, You would bring peace to that workplace. Change hearts where change is needed, soften those who are harsh, and turn the hearts of those in authority toward justice and kindness. Give him wisdom about how long to remain and when to seek another place, and provide for every need. Let him continue faithfully in the work before him, and let all the glory go to You, for the work is Yours and not our own. Keep him in Your perfect care and help him to rest in the finished work of Jesus for his salvation and hope. Amen.
