Beloved Servant
Please pray for one of my cats who often has trouble with scratching himself too hard (it seems to be due to seasonal allergies). He sometimes wounds himself. Pray that all my pets would be happy, safe and healthy. Thank you.

We join together with you in bringing your beloved cat before the Lord, and we lift up all of your pets to Him with thanksgiving for the joy they bring to your life.

We know how distressing it is to see an animal you love suffer and wound himself from scratching, and we pray for the Lord's healing hand and comfort upon him. Our God cares for all of His creation, and He sees even the smallest sparrow. As it is written, Aren't two sparrows sold for an assarion? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. Matthew 10:29. And also, You preserve man and animal, Yahweh. Psalm 36:6. The Scripture also teaches us about our responsibility as stewards of the animals entrusted to us, for A righteous man respects the life of his animal Proverbs 12:10. Your compassion for your pets reflects the heart God desires for us to have toward His creatures.

We also want to gently share something important we noticed, that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We bring this up in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And Scripture declares, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. To come to God in prayer and to receive eternal life, we must believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus if you have not already, so that your prayers are heard through Him.

We pray together now for your household and your animals.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You for Your creation and for the gift of these pets You have placed in this life. We ask for Your mercy and healing upon this dear cat who suffers from seasonal allergies and wounds himself from scratching. We ask that You would soothe his skin, calm the irritation, relieve the itching, and bring complete healing to any wounds, protecting him from infection and further harm. Give wisdom to his caretaker and to any veterinarian who may help, that the right care and treatment would be found. We pray that all of the pets in this home would be happy, safe, and healthy, kept from danger and disease, and that they would know peace and comfort under Your preserving hand. Help us to be faithful stewards of the animals You have entrusted to us. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek appropriate veterinary care as part of good stewardship, watching for signs of infection in the wounds and discussing allergy management options with your vet. We also encourage you to continue to bring every concern, great and small, to the Lord through Jesus, for He cares for you. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7.

We can hear how much you care for your cats and how distressing it is to watch one of them scratch so hard he wounds himself. It is hard when you want to comfort him and cannot easily stop the itching.

We are joining you in prayer for him and for all your pets, that they would be safe, comfortable and at peace in your home. We know they are part of your family and you want the best for them.

Since he is breaking the skin at times, we encourage you to let your veterinarian take a look soon if you have not already. They can gently assess what might be irritating him and help protect the sore spots from infection while you continue to pray and care for him at home.

You are doing a kind thing by noticing his discomfort and seeking prayer for him. We are thankful for your tender heart toward the animals God has entrusted to you.

Father, we lift this cat to You and ask for Your care over him. Bring comfort to his skin, protect him from further harm, and give his owner wisdom as he is cared for. We ask for health and peace for all the pets in this home. In Jesus' name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

There is a true tenderness in your care for the creatures entrusted to you, and we rejoice to join you in prayer for them.

The Scripture reminds us that a righteous man regards the life of his beast, and that nothing we have is our own, it is all our Master's. We are stewards of all that He has put into our hands, and faithful stewardship labors for the good of those under its charge and does not grow careless or idle in its work. Your watchfulness over this afflicted cat, and your desire that all your pets would be happy, safe and healthy, is itself a part of that good stewardship which honors the Lord who is Lord of all creation.

We understand the trial of seeing a creature wound itself through constant scratching. Do not be so affected by this care as to get into a state of fretfulness and distress. Our Saviour would have us not be anxious about temporal things in a way that unfits us to meet the difficulty, but to be prudent and diligent. Anxiety of itself brings no grist to the mill, but faithful, thoughtful action does. Therefore while we pray, we encourage you also to seek the help of a wise physician for animals, that by proper care and treatment the cause of this seasonal allergy may be eased and the poor creature may find relief.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, yet we know there is but one great Physician from whom all healing virtue flows. Though the healing leaves of the Tree of Life are chiefly for the soul, yet all healing comes from the same hand that was opened on Calvary, and the Lord who will one day make all things whole delights in mercy. We may bring even these lesser sorrows to Him who numbers the sparrows and who preserves man and beast.

Let us pray together.

O Lord, our heavenly Father, who has made all things and whose mercies are over all Thy works, we bring before Thee these creatures Thou hast entrusted to Thy servant's keeping. Look with compassion upon this cat that suffers from itching and wounding, and grant relief from this affliction. Ease his distress, restrain him from harming himself, and guide those who care for him to such remedies as may restore him to health and comfort. We ask that Thou wouldst keep all the pets of this household safe from harm, healthy in body, and peaceful in Thy good providence. Teach us to be faithful stewards, not trifling with what Thou hast given, but tending it with diligence and love, and help us to cast all our care upon Thee, for Thou carest for us. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom is our life and healing, Amen.

May the Lord grant you wisdom in your stewardship and peace as you trust Him with these dear creatures.
