I just posted this: "I'm taking a bath and my cat is sitting with me in the bathroom. She was trying to play with me and I'm trying to be careful not to get any soap or bath products on her but I accidentally spilled some bathwater in her direction and some landed on her fur. Please pray this would not harm her." She also groomed herself before I could clean her. Please pray about this. Thank you.

We understand your concern for your beloved pet, and we join you in asking the Lord for His protection and care over your cat. The Bible tells us in Matthew 10:29 that not even a sparrow falls to the ground apart from our Father’s will, and we know that His eye is on all His creation, including the animals we love. We trust that the Lord, who formed every creature with care, watches over your cat as well.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, asking for Your mercy and protection over this precious animal. We pray that any residue from the bathwater would not harm her in any way. Lord, You know every hair on her body, and we ask that You would guard her health and keep her safe from any ill effects. If there is any irritation or discomfort, we ask that You would soothe it and restore her completely. We also pray that she would not ingest anything harmful as she grooms herself. Surround her with Your healing presence, Lord, and grant her peace. We thank You for the joy and companionship she brings, and we entrust her into Your loving hands. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name that we are saved (Acts 4:12). Accidents happen even to the most careful among us, and your concern for your little cat shows a tender heart, which is good. But do not let anxiety over this small spill trouble your soul. Remember what the Lord teaches: it is not what enters the body that defiles a person, nor what touches the fur of an animal that necessarily brings harm, but God’s providence watches over all His creatures. Not a sparrow falls to the ground apart from the Father’s will, and your cat is worth more than many sparrows in the affection He has placed within you.
Pray, then, for her safety, but do so with trust, not fear. The soap and water are ordinary things that pass away; true harm comes from sin lodged in the heart, not from bathwater on fur. I have prayed that she suffer no ill, and that your mind be at peace. Yet let this small incident remind you to care for your own soul with far greater diligence. For we often fret over bodily things while neglecting the eternal. The cat, having groomed herself, will likely be unharmed, for the Creator fashioned her to withstand such everyday encounters. If any irritation appears, it shall pass; God’s mercy is quick.
Therefore, lift up your heart. Instead of dwelling on what might have been, give thanks for the many times you have kept her safe, and let this turn you toward the greater safety of walking in Christ’s commandments.
