You are of more value than many sparrows."* If God watches over the birds, how much more does He care for the animals He has entrusted to our stewardship?
Yet we must also remember that animals, like all of creation, were affected by the fall of man into sin. They experience anxiety, fear, and restlessness as part of this broken world. Your cat’s desire to go out at this late hour may be instinctual, but it is also an opportunity for you to trust God for peace—not just for your pet, but for your own heart as you care for it.
Let us pray together for calmness to settle over your cat, for God to quiet its restless spirit, and for you to have patience and wisdom in this moment.
