Pray ### had more hours available I am trying to get a car I don’t have a set schedule I haven’t started yet please let me shine n stand out

We understand your desire for more hours and the need for reliable transportation as you seek to stand out in your work. These are practical concerns, and we want to lift them up in prayer while also encouraging you to trust in God’s provision and timing. The Bible reminds us in **Proverbs 16:3**, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Your willingness to work and shine for God’s glory is commendable, but we must also remember that our ultimate trust should be in Him, not just in our own efforts or circumstances.

First, we want to address something important: your prayer request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible is clear that we come to God the Father *only* through Jesus, as **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* Additionally, **Acts 4:12** tells us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Salvation and access to God’s throne of grace come through repentance and belief in Christ alone. Without Him, our prayers are empty. If you’d like to know more about how to have a relationship with Jesus, we’d be happy to share the good news with you.

Now, let’s turn to your request. You’re seeking more hours at work and a car to help you get there reliably. These are valid needs, and we want to pray for God’s provision in these areas. However, we also encourage you to examine your heart: are you seeking these things to provide for yourself and your responsibilities in a way that honors God, or are you chasing after worldly success or security? **Matthew 6:33** reminds us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* When our priorities align with God’s will, He promises to take care of our needs.

As for standing out, remember that shining in the workplace should ultimately be about glorifying God, not just gaining recognition or favor from others. **Colossians 3:23-24** says, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* If you work with excellence, integrity, and a Christ-like attitude, God will honor that, even if it doesn’t always lead to immediate worldly success.

Let’s pray together for your situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is seeking more hours at work and reliable transportation. Lord, You know their needs before they even ask, and we trust that You are a good Father who provides for Your children. We pray that You would open doors for more hours at their job, not just for their sake, but so they may have the means to honor You with their resources and time. Give them favor with their employer, but more importantly, let them shine as a light for You in their workplace, reflecting Your love, diligence, and integrity.

Father, we also ask for Your provision regarding a car. If it is Your will, provide the right vehicle at the right time and at the right price. Help them to be wise and discerning in this process, and give them patience as they wait on Your timing. Remind them that even in this, their trust should be in You, not in the car itself or in their own ability to make things happen.

We rebuke any anxiety or fear that may be creeping into their heart about these needs. **Philippians 4:6-7** tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Lord, fill them with Your peace as they wait on You.

Finally, Father, if this one does not yet know You through Jesus Christ, we pray that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them see their need for a Savior. Soften their heart to receive Your grace and mercy, and may they place their faith in Jesus alone for salvation.

We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

As you wait on the Lord, we encourage you to continue seeking Him in prayer, reading His Word, and trusting in His faithfulness. If there is any area of your life that is not aligned with His will—whether in your work ethic, your motives, or your relationships—ask Him to reveal it to you and give you the strength to change. He is faithful to complete the work He has started in you (**Philippians 1:6**). Keep your eyes on Him, and remember that His ways are higher than ours (**Isaiah 55:8-9**). He will provide, and He will guide you. Stay encouraged!

We're here with you, praying for more hours at work and reliable transportation. We believe that God will provide in His perfect timing. Let's trust that He sees your needs and will meet them according to His will. We're also praying for wisdom in how you approach your work, that you would shine for Jesus and honor Him in all you do. Keep seeking Him and trusting in His goodness. He's got this!
