Beloved of All
It would be so nice to have a car again, there's been no money for so long. I live where public transport is bad, and I'm disabled. If I use the bus I have to endure people using vape on the bus even though it's illegal, there's no enforcement and they know it, and the buses are full of this, and my lungs are weak. The bus drivers won't do anything, they stand in the bus doorway, smoking, when the bus is late already. I was forced out of my work as the commute was so terrible. I get to do and see so little and am limited in work without the car. I had a bus discount until this week, then buses will be expensive anyway, I walk to town each day now because of the buses. I miss out a lot now. I think it may be a selfish request apart from making work easier, but life has been hard and maybe God would be kind. Please Lord Jesus.

We hear your heart in this request and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus, whom you have rightly called upon. We do not consider this a selfish request at all. Our Father knows our needs and He cares about the practical hardships that limit your daily life, your health, and your ability to work. He sees your disability, your weak lungs, the difficulty of the buses, and the isolation you feel from being unable to get around freely.

We want to gently correct the thought that it would be selfish to ask God for this kind of help. Scripture tells us to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us, 1 Peter 5:7, and that we should ask, seek and knock, trusting that our Father gives good gifts to His children. Jesus said, Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you, Matthew 7:7. It is not selfish to ask the Lord for provision that would restore your health, your ability to provide, and your freedom to move about. It is coming to Him as a child to a loving Father.

We are reminded of His promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19, and that your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things, Matthew 6:32. He is near to those who are discouraged and weary. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might, Isaiah 40:29.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that we can approach Your throne of grace through Him. We lift up this dear one to You who has endured so much hardship for so long, living with disability and with lungs that are weak, enduring difficult commutes and environments that harm health, and now facing the loss of a bus discount and limited options for work and daily life. Lord, You see every walk to town, every missed opportunity, every breath that is labored, and every discouragement. We ask for Your mercy and kindness to be poured out. Please provide for this need for reliable transportation according to Your will. If it is a car that You would provide, we ask You to open the doors that no man can shut, to supply the finances and the means in a way that only You can do, so that it will be clear it is from Your hand. We pray for protection over lungs and health, for strength for the body, and for opportunities for work that are suitable and sustainable, not forcing harm to health. Grant favor, provision, and peace, and remind this one that You are a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1. Help this heart to not grow weary, but to delight in You and trust that You will give the desires of the heart that align with Your goodness, Psalm 37:4. We ask that You make Your presence deeply known in this season of limitation, and that You restore joy and hope. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every need to Him daily, without shame. He is not annoyed by your asking, He invites it. Continue to seek Him first, to trust His timing, and to watch for His provision, which sometimes comes in unexpected ways. We also encourage you to keep seeking wise stewardship and community resources where available while you wait on the Lord, but above all to rest in knowing that He sees you, He loves you, and He is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine. We are standing with you in prayer that the Lord will make a way for you to work and live with greater freedom and health, and that He will show His kindness to you in a tangible way.

We hear how much you have been carrying with this. Losing reliable transportation when you live where buses are not dependable, and when you are disabled, touches every part of life, work, daily errands, even just getting to see people and do things that matter. Walking to town every day and dealing with vaping and smoke on the bus when your lungs are weak sounds exhausting, and we understand why you had to step away from work when the commute became too much.

Please don't feel this is a selfish thing to bring to Jesus. Asking Him for help with a practical need that affects your health, your ability to work, and your daily life is not selfish, it is honest. God cares about those details, and He is kind to hear you.

We know a car may not come quickly, so one small step that sometimes helps is to let someone local know what you are facing. If you have a church family or a disability support service nearby, it can be worth asking whether they know of ride-share ministries, volunteer driver programs, or vocational help for work-related transportation. Even a conversation can open a door you had not known about. And since the smoke and vape exposure is hard on your lungs, it may also help to mention it to your doctor alongside prayer, so you have support in protecting your health while you navigate these options.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the financial strain, the limits on work, and the daily effort it takes to get around. Give wisdom for next steps, provide in the way You know is best, and give strength and peace for each day. Show Your kindness and lead with Your care. Amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord and heard with tender sympathy, and there is no selfishness in such a request as this. To ask for strength to breathe freely, to labour honestly, and to walk through this world with less hindrance is not to ask amiss. Our Heavenly Father knows our frame and remembers that we are dust, and like as a father pities his children, so the Lord pities them that fear Him.

It is a hard trial to be disabled and to find the very means of moving about become a burden to your weak lungs, to endure lawlessness on the crowded bus and indifference from those who should keep order, to be forced from work you would gladly do, and to walk day by day because the provision that once helped you is now gone. The Lord sees this. There is no wrong done to His people but it is registered in His archives, and He marks the weariness of every step you take to town and the many things you miss.

We are taught that Providence is as a wheel, intricate and often mysterious in its outer turnings, yet its axle never moves. That axle is the everlasting love of God toward His people in Christ Jesus. The exterior may change, the buses may fail, money may be scarce for a long season, and the body may be weak, but the centre stands forever fixed. In the smoke and noise of this present trouble, His eyes are still looking through, His hands still managing, and His fatherly pity still flowing toward you. Though His promise may tarry, it never fails, and He has not forgotten to be gracious.

Think also of His innumerable mercies. You have already known many, though you know not the numbers thereof, and every one of them has come to you by way of the Cross and bears the mark of the Redeemer's blood. The blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, cleanses us from all sin, and if you are trusting in Him alone for salvation, you are His, hidden and kept for safety even when you feel most exposed and overlooked. He who has taught you from your youth will not cast you away now. He was your teacher in brighter days and He remains your teacher in these harder days, and He will enable you still to declare His wondrous works.

We will pray for you, that the Lord in His wisdom and kindness would provide what you need for body and for work, whether by a car again or by such other provision as His love appoints, that He would guard your lungs and give you strength for each day's walk, that He would open a door for suitable labour, and that He would lift from you the fear that your petition is unworthy. It is not unworthy to ask your Father for help in honest things. Bring all your needs to Him freely, for His tender mercy invites even our smallest cares.

May the Lord command His blessing upon you, keep you in the hollow of His hand, and give you to see His wondrous working in yourself and for yourself, till you can sing with David, Thou hast taught me from my youth, and hitherto have I declared Thy wondrous works. We ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus, who alone is our salvation and our hope.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and I want you to know that what you have shared is not a selfish request at all. To ask for help so you can breathe safely, so you can work, so you can move about and live with dignity, is not wantonness or indulgence. Scripture warns us not to make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, which means chasing excess, soft living, or pride in outward things. But the same Scripture also teaches us to care for the body for health, as Paul told Timothy to use a little wine for his stomach and his frequent infirmities. Seeking a way to protect your weak lungs and to provide for yourself through honest work belongs to that kind of care. It is seeking health, not luxury.

I hear how hard this season has been. Living with a disability where public transport is poor is already a heavy burden, and to have to endure vaping on the bus that is illegal yet not enforced, and drivers who smoke in the doorway while the bus is already late, is discouraging and harmful. It is understandable that you were forced out of work by such a commute, and that you now walk to town each day and miss out on so much, especially now that the discount has ended and the cost will be higher. God sees these limits and the way you have kept going faithfully through them.

Let us pray together to the Lord Jesus who is kind and who knows our needs.

Lord Jesus, you see this need and this weariness. You know what it is to be without money for so long and to feel confined and cut off from work and from daily life. Have mercy and show kindness. Provide what is needed for health and for honest work, whether that is a car again or another way you in your wisdom will open. Protect weak lungs, give strength for each day, and make a way to work and to live without constant harm and fear. Give peace to a heart that wonders if it is selfish to ask, and remind this one that you invite us to bring our needs to you. Grant wisdom for each step, and let your care be felt in practical help. In your name we ask, Amen.

Please do not feel shame for asking. Life has indeed been hard, and God is kind. He does not despise a humble request for what is necessary. Continue to bring this need to him, and also keep caring for both body and soul as you are able, trusting that he will provide what is best in his time. You are not forgotten.
