Beloved of All
Jesus please let our car get fixed once and for all. We have been dealing with this for over a month now and several different attempts at repair have failed and we need a car. Please let the people where we currently have it know how to fix it, and let insurance cover it. Please also let my mother-in-law's appeal be approved, and she gets to stay in the nursing home longer, as there is no one to pick her up, and she will be charged thousands of dollars if she doesn't leave, as insurance is not covering it anymore. Please also let her answer the phone when we call her and stop taking the phone off the hook, or whatever she is doing. It is so frustrating to not even be able to get through to her! The stress of all of this is literally causing me physical health problems, and, speaking of that, please also help my friend, who has very high blood pressure and does not know why. Please heal her. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We come before the Lord with you in these burdens, lifting them up to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. It is good that you have brought these concerns to Jesus, for He alone is our Provider, Healer, and Peace in the midst of storms. Let us first remind one another that all things must be asked in the name of Jesus, for it is written, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through faith in Christ alone that we approach the throne of grace with confidence.

We understand the frustration and weariness that comes with ongoing trials—especially when they pile upon one another like waves crashing against the shore. Yet we are called to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Let us trust that even in these struggles, God is working for your good, conforming you to the image of His Son (Romans 8:28-29). We must also remember that stress and anxiety should not rule our hearts, for Jesus said, *"Don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear... But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient"* (Matthew 6:25, 33-34, WEB). While these trials are real and heavy, we must guard our hearts against being overwhelmed by them, for our strength comes from the Lord.

Let us address each of these concerns with Scripture and prayer. Regarding the car, we know that God is well able to provide and to give wisdom to those who seek it. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). We pray that the Lord would grant the mechanics discernment to diagnose and repair the car completely, that no further issues would arise, and that the insurance would cover the costs as needed. We also ask the Lord to provide for you in this season, whether through the restoration of this car or another means. Remember that even when things seem broken beyond repair, our God specializes in redemption and restoration. He is the God who parts seas, multiplies loaves, and turns water into wine—surely, He can restore a car.

Concerning your mother-in-law, we lift her up to the Lord, asking for His provision and peace. The appeal for her stay in the nursing home is a heavy burden, and we pray that the Lord would move in the hearts of those making the decision, that they would show compassion and grant the extension needed. We also ask that the Lord would provide the funds necessary if additional costs arise, for He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). As for her not answering the phone, we encourage you to extend grace, for there may be reasons unknown to you—confusion, forgetfulness, or even fear. *"Love is patient and is kind... isn’t easily provoked, doesn’t think evil"* (1 Corinthians 13:4-5, WEB). Let us pray that the Lord would soften her heart and open the lines of communication, that you may be reunited in conversation and that any misunderstandings or frustrations would be replaced with patience and love.

We also lift up your friend who is suffering from high blood pressure. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we ask the Lord to bring healing and restoration to her physical health. *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:14-15, WEB). We pray that the Lord would reveal any underlying causes—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—and that He would guide her to the right treatment and grant her peace in the process. Let us also encourage her to seek the Lord in this trial, for He is her Healer (Exodus 15:26).

Lastly, we must address the toll this stress is taking on your health. It is clear that these burdens are weighing heavily on you, and we want to remind you that you are not meant to carry them alone. Jesus says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28-30, WEB). We urge you to surrender these worries to the Lord daily, to spend time in His Word and in prayer, and to seek support from your brothers and sisters in Christ. You are not abandoned in this—God is with you, and He will sustain you.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of trust, even in the midst of these trials. Lord, we ask that You would touch the car that is in need of repair. Grant wisdom and skill to the hands of the mechanics working on it, that they would diagnose the issue correctly and fix it completely. Provide the funds needed, whether through insurance or another means, and let this car be a reliable blessing to this family. We ask that You would remove any financial burden and replace it with Your peace and provision.

Lord, we lift up this mother-in-law to You. We pray for her appeal to be approved, that she may remain in the care she needs without the threat of overwhelming costs. Father, provide for her financially and emotionally. We also ask that You would soften her heart toward her family, that she would answer the phone and that communication would be restored. Heal any brokenness or fear in her heart, and let Your love flow between them.

Father, we pray for healing for the friend suffering from high blood pressure. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would bring restoration to her body. Guide her to the right doctors, the right treatments, and grant her peace as she waits on You. Reveal to her anything that needs to be addressed—physically, emotionally, or spiritually—and give her the strength to walk in obedience to Your will.

Lastly, Lord, we lift up our sister who is carrying the weight of all these burdens. Father, she is weary, and we ask that You would renew her strength. Remind her that she is not alone, that You are her Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lift the anxiety from her shoulders and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to cast all her cares on You, knowing that You care for her deeply.

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and glory. May Your will be done, and may Your name be exalted in every circumstance. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend. It's been a tough month, hasn't it? The car troubles, the worry about your mother-in-law, and the stress taking a toll on your health. It's like a perfect storm, but remember, Jesus is in the business of calming storms.

Let's pray together, shall we?

Dear Jesus,

We come to You today, carrying these heavy burdens. Lord, we ask You to touch that car. Give the mechanics wisdom to fix it right the first time, and provide the funds needed, whether through insurance or another way. We trust that You can turn this situation around for the better.

We lift up your mother-in-law to You, Lord. We ask that her appeal would be approved, and that she would be able to stay in the nursing home without the threat of overwhelming costs. We pray for her emotional well-being too, that she would be at peace and open to communication with her family. Heal any brokenness in her heart, Jesus.

We also pray for your friend with high blood pressure. Lord, You are her Healer. Reveal to her any underlying causes and guide her to the right treatment. Give her peace in the process, and grant her strength to walk in obedience to You.

Lastly, Lord, we pray for you. You're carrying so much on your shoulders right now. We remind you of Jesus' words, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) Let Him carry your burdens, friend. Trust in Him.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
