Can't take it anymore

Years ago I received terrible warnings from God about my future outcome. They were profound. As of a year ago these things have been coming to pass. I can barely handle it. At a point of letting go. I couldn't accept or fathom that God would communicate such things. It was too much.

We hear the deep anguish in your words, and our hearts ache with you as you carry the weight of these prophetic warnings and their fulfillment. It is a heavy burden to bear, knowing what is to come and seeing it unfold before your eyes. We want you to know that you are not alone in this, we stand with you, lifting you up before the throne of grace, where mercy and help are found in time of need.

First, we must address the foundation of your relationship with God. The warnings you received came from Him, and it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without this, we cannot approach God or expect His protection and deliverance. If you have already done this, we encourage you to reaffirm your faith and trust in Him, even in the midst of this trial.

The Bible tells us that God does not delight in the suffering of His children, but He allows trials to refine us, to draw us closer to Him, and to display His glory through our lives. In James 1:2-4, we read, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." This does not mean the pain is easy to bear, but it does mean that God is using it for a greater purpose, one that will ultimately strengthen and mature your faith.

We also want to gently rebuke any spirit of despair or resignation that may be creeping into your heart. The enemy would love nothing more than for you to let go, to give up, and to walk away from the path God has set before you. But we declare that you are not a victim of circumstance, you are a child of the Most High God, and He has not abandoned you. In Psalm 34:18-19, we are reminded, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Even in this, God is near. Even in this, He is working.

We must also address the possibility that these warnings were not just for judgment but for preparation. God often warns His people so they can turn from sin, seek Him with greater fervency, and walk in obedience. Have you examined your heart and life to see if there are areas where you may have strayed from His will? Are there sins, whether of commission or omission, that need to be confessed and repented of? In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God says, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." This is not to condemn you but to invite you into deeper repentance and intimacy with God.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is carrying the weight of Your warnings and their fulfillment. Lord, we ask that You would draw near to them in this hour. Let them feel Your presence like never before, a tangible reminder that You have not left them nor forsaken them. We declare that the enemy has no claim over their life, for they belong to You, and You are their strong tower, their refuge, and their deliverer.

Father, we ask that You would break any spirit of fear, despair, or resignation that has taken hold. Replace it with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them the strength to endure, the faith to trust You even when they cannot see the outcome, and the courage to press forward in obedience. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good, even when it feels impossible (Romans 8:28).

Lord, if there are areas of sin or disobedience in their life, reveal them with Your gentle conviction. Lead them to repentance and restoration, that they may walk in the fullness of Your will. Forgive them, cleanse them, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). We also ask that You would give them wisdom and discernment to navigate this season. Show them how to prepare, how to pray, and how to stand firm in the face of what is to come.

Father, we declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy aimed at their destruction, and we command it to be broken in the name of Jesus. Surround them with Your angels, encamp around them, and protect them from every evil plan. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your glory be their rear guard.

Above all, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in their life. Use this trial to draw them closer to You, to refine their faith, and to make them a testimony of Your faithfulness. Let them emerge from this season stronger, wiser, and more in love with You than ever before. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to cling to God’s Word. Meditate on Scriptures that speak of His faithfulness, His promises, and His deliverance. Psalm 91 is a powerful passage for protection and refuge, read it aloud, declare it over your life, and let it sink deep into your spirit. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Do not isolate yourself; the enemy thrives in secrecy and loneliness.

We also urge you to seek godly counsel if you haven’t already. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Find a pastor, mentor, or trusted Christian friend who can help you process what you’re going through and provide biblical guidance. You do not have to walk this path alone.

Lastly, remember that God’s warnings are not without hope. Even in the darkest moments, He is working. In Joel 2:12-13, He says, "Yet even now, return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. Tear your heart, and not your garments, and turn to Yahweh, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity." God’s heart is always for restoration, not destruction. Turn to Him with all your heart, and watch how He moves on your behalf.

We can hear the exhaustion in your words, and our hearts ache with you. To have carried such heavy warnings for years, and now to see what you feared beginning to unfold, that is an immense weight to bear alone. Please know that even the boldest, most godly people in Scripture have reached the point of letting go. Elijah, after a great victory, collapsed in the wilderness and asked to die. God’s response wasn’t a rebuke; He sent provision, rest, and a quiet, near presence. That same gentle care is extended to you right now, even when everything inside you wants to give up.

When we’re in the thick of overwhelming events, fear can shrink our vision until we can’t see anything but the darkness. But the God who warns is also the God who stays close, who redeems, and who carries us when we have no strength left. It is okay to be completely honest with Him about how hard this is, He can handle your desperation.

One thing we would gently encourage: don’t try to navigate this alone. The burden you’re carrying needs to be shared with a trusted, mature believer, a pastor who knows you, a wise Christian friend, or a counselor familiar with spiritual distress. Let someone sit with you in this, pray with you, and help you gain perspective. Fear often tells us to isolate, but healing and steadiness are found in safe community.

Lord Jesus, draw near to our friend. You see the terror and fatigue. Calm their heart and, in the middle of what feels like a nightmare, give them tangible signs of Your mercy and companionship. Bring the right people alongside them, and hold them fast when they cannot hold on. In Your name we pray, amen.

I did reach out to clergy. It didn't go well. They didn't believe that these warnings were from God. The outcomes warned of years ago continue to unfold.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The fear is often greater in prospect than in reality; in fact, it is always so in the case of the Christian. You speak of warnings profound and now fulfilling, and your soul trembles. I rejoice that you have faith enough to fear. Believe God in justice till you tremble; then see that justice vindicated in the suffering and death of the Lord Jesus, and rest in the mercy of God, which, through the cross, comes justly down to guilty men. The time for faith is the time of trial. Faith is never so full-flavored as when it is produced beneath cloudy skies.

You can not be sure that your faith is true faith till it is tried faith. And those very warnings, which now seem to engulf you, are the trial of your faith. Let us be comforted: there is no hurt in it. It is all for good. It is good to be afflicted, for when sanctified by the Spirit, trial is a means of instruction second to none in value. The chief use of trial to Joseph and to us is very often seen in our future lives. Joseph learned in his dungeon that the divine presence can cheer anywhere; so shall you learn that God can be with you in the darkest hour.

The question of fear cries out, “Will he plead against me with his great power?” But the answer of faith is, “No, but he will put strength in me.” It is through this faith that the just shall live. If his faith diminishes, then depend upon it, the vital spark burns low. But an active, operative faith is implanted by the Holy Spirit on purpose to sustain him under trial. Abram was not justified by works, nor by the perfection of his faith, but by faith in the divine promise. Is it faith that deals with Christ and looks alone to him? Then, though the waves roar, you are justified by faith, and you may say, “My Father holds the waters in the hollow of His hand, why should I be afraid?”

There were both nature and grace, belief and unbelief, fear and faith battling together in Jacob’s soul; yet he prevailed. So may you. By the way of that faith which brings you unto fear, you will be brought out of it. Let your fear only drive you closer to your Lord, and hand in hand with faith, they shall walk together for a while, till at last perfect love shall come in and take the place of fear, and then faith and love shall go hand in hand to heaven.
