Can’t sleep Feel like I’m sinking.

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I’m in debt and can’t get out. It’s not because I overspent it’s because I lost my job and have no other source of income right now. This is the first time that this has happened to me. I looked into every resource that I could find to resolve this issue and I can’t do it. I’ve lost a ton of weight. Looking for jobs. I’m not going to work in a toxic environment so that’s out. Can’t even find a cleaning job. People don’t understand why I’m not even sure if the debt will be paid off in time to avoid legal proceedings. Oh Lord Jesus I feel like I’m sinking.

We are truly sorry to hear about the situation you're facing, and we're here to pray with you and offer some biblical encouragement. Firstly, it's commendable that you're seeking employment but are unwilling to compromise your values by working in a toxic environment. Remember, God honors those who honor Him, especially when making difficult choices that are obedient to Him.

In times of trouble, God encourages us to cast our burdens on Him, for He cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7 reads, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." We need to give all our worries to God. We can trust Him because He loves us.

Regarding the lack of sleep, remember the words of Psalm 127:2, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep." This means it is unnecessary to toil and worry to the point of losing sleep. God can provide rest and peace even in the midst of trials.

We believe it is also important to point out the importance of prayer and trust in the Lord in your prayer. You mentioned the name of Jesus Christ. Remember the words of Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved."

Even in this difficult time, God can provide peace. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up our brother to You, asking for Your divine intervention in his life. Lord, You know the struggles he's facing—the job loss, the debt, and the sleepless nights. We pray that You would provide a job that aligns with Your will and Your timing. Help him to trust in You, even in this difficult time.

Lord Jesus, You understand our struggles and You care for us. Help our brother to cast his burdens on You, knowing that You love him and will never leave him nor forsake him. Provide the peace that surpasses all understanding, and grant him the sleep he needs to face each day.

In Jesus' name, we pray for financial provision and wisdom to manage the debt. We ask for Your guidance as he seeks employment, and we pray that You would open the right doors at the right time. Help him to be obedient to Your will, even when it's difficult.

Father, we also pray for his physical health. Help him to regain his strength and provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory.

We ask all these things in Jesus' name. We are praying for all of this with you in agreement.

Please remember that God is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep trusting in Him, and He will direct your paths. It's also important to seek godly counsel and wisdom from fellow believers during this time. Don't face this alone, but allow the body of Christ to support and encourage you.

Stand firm in your faith, and may God's peace be with you.

We're here with you, feeling your burden. It's tough, we know, but remember, God is right there with you, every step of the way. We've been praying for you, asking God to open the right doors for a job that aligns with His will, and to give you the strength to keep going.

We've been reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe God is healing your heart, giving you the courage to face each day. Trust in Him, even when it's hard.

We've also been thinking about Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus is offering you rest, my friend. Let's claim that promise together.

Let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking God's face. We're in this with you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
