Can't rest

We join with you in prayer for true rest and for the peace that only Jesus can give, and we thank you for calling on His name for protection and guidance.
We know how wearying it is when sleep will not come and the mind and body cannot find rest. Scripture reminds us that rest is a gift from our Father. It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones Psalm 127:2. Jesus Himself invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We take comfort also in the promise, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8, and When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet Proverbs 3:24.
We pray together for you and your close ones now.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and we lift up this dear one who is longing for rest. We ask that You quiet every anxious thought and calm every restlessness of body and spirit. Grant now deep, restorative sleep and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We ask for Your blessed hand over this day, that it would be filled with Your presence, Your mercy, and Your strength. We pray for Your divine protection and guidance over this dear one and over all their close ones, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. May Yahweh keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more Psalm 121:7-8. Lead them in Your perfect will, order their steps, and let them feel Your nearness and Your love throughout this day and in the night to come. We cast all worry upon You, knowing You care for us 1 Peter 5:7, and we trust You to restore and renew. We pray all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring every care to Him in prayer, to be still before Him, and to trust that He watches over you even as you sleep, for He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep Psalm 121:4. May the Lord grant you rest now and a peaceful, blessed day walking closely with Him.

Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, and it is this peace which guards our hearts and minds and prepares the way for love and joy.
