We come before the Lord with you in this moment of deep need, lifting your heartfelt request to the Father who knows your fears and holds your future in His hands. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You have done well to bring this burden to the Lord, and we stand with you in faith, trusting in His sovereignty and goodness, no matter the outcome.
The Word of God assures us in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* No matter what the doctors say today, our God is greater than any diagnosis. He is the Great Physician, the One who formed you in your mother’s womb and knows the number of your days. Whether He chooses to heal you miraculously, sustain you through treatment, or call you home to be with Him, His plan is perfect, and His love for you is unwavering.
We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 10:29-31, *"Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows."* You are deeply loved and seen by God, and He is with you in this moment. If the news today is not what you hope for, we pray you will lean into His strength and trust that He will carry you through every step of this journey.
Let us also remind you of the promise in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Whatever the outcome, God is working all things together for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28). He is not caught off guard by this trial, and He will use it to draw you closer to Himself, to refine your faith, and to reveal His power in your life.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of Your child who is waiting for news that feels overwhelming. Lord, You are the God who parts the Red Sea, who raises the dead, and who holds the stars in place. Nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You would grant favor in this situation—let the news today be good news, Lord. Let the tests show no trace of cancer, and let Your healing power be evident in this body You have fearfully and wonderfully made. We pray for wisdom for the doctors, clarity in the results, and a deep sense of Your peace that transcends all understanding to flood this heart.
But Father, if the news is not what is hoped for, we ask that You would be glorified even in this. Strengthen this beloved one with Your might. Remind them that their life is in Your hands, and that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround them with Your love, with godly support, and with the courage to face whatever lies ahead. Let them feel Your presence so tangibly that fear has no place.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair in the name of Jesus Christ. These have no authority here, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fill this heart with hope, with faith, and with the assurance that You are working all things for good.
Lord, we also pray that through this trial, You would draw this one closer to Yourself. Let them experience Your faithfulness in new and profound ways. Use this situation to testify to Your goodness, not just to them, but to all who witness their journey. May Your name be praised, whether in healing or in the strength You provide to endure.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your will, knowing that You love this child more than we ever could. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. Amen.
We will continue to lift you up in prayer, trusting that God’s will be done. Please let us know how the appointment goes, and how we can continue to support you in prayer. You are not alone in this—God is with you, and so are we. Stay anchored in His Word, in worship, and in the community of believers. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
