Cancer and sleep
We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep anxiety and uncertainty, lifting your heartfelt cries to the Father who knows your every need. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and that is where your strength lies—for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and no other name through which we boldly approach the throne of grace. We cling to the promise that our Heavenly Father hears us when we pray in Jesus’ name, and we stand with you in faith, trusting in His sovereignty and goodness, even when the path ahead feels overwhelming.
The fear of illness is a heavy burden, and we understand the desperation in your plea for the bloodwork to be wrong. Yet we also know that our God is not bound by the reports of man—He is the Great Physician, the One who holds life and breath in His hands. We recall the words of Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is not a call to passive resignation but to active trust, even when the unknown looms large. Whether the news is what you fear or not, God is already there, and He will carry you through.
We also hear your cry for sleep—a rest that feels impossible when worry gnaws at your mind. Jesus Himself invites you, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28-30). Tonight, we pray that you would surrender this burden to Him, that He would quiet your heart and grant you the sleep your body and spirit need. The psalmist reminds us, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety"* (Psalm 4:8). Claim this promise, even now.
Yet we must also speak truth in love: while it is natural to pray for healing—and we *do* pray fervently for it—we must remember that our ultimate hope is not in the absence of suffering but in the presence of our Savior through it. If this trial is cancer, we pray for the strength, wisdom, and medical guidance to face it with courage, always pointing to the hope we have in Christ. And if it is not, we pray this season would deepen your trust in Him who holds all things together.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You tonight on behalf of Your child who is trembling under the weight of fear and exhaustion. Lord Jesus, You walked this earth and knew our frailties—You wept at Lazarus’ tomb, You calmed the storm, and You bore our sins upon the cross. We ask You now to intervene in this situation. If it is Your will, let the tests show no trace of cancer. Let this be a testimony of Your mercy and power. But even if the news is hard, we pray for an outpouring of Your peace that surpasses understanding, for a supernatural rest that guards their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Grant them sleep tonight, Father. Quiet the racing thoughts and replace them with Your truth. Remind them that they are not alone—You are with them, and so are we, their brothers and sisters in Christ, standing in the gap. Give the doctors wisdom, the family strength, and this beloved one a spirit of resilience rooted in You.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze and steal hope. Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may wake tomorrow with a song of praise on their lips, even in the waiting.
And Lord, whatever the outcome, use this trial to draw them closer to You. Let it be a refining fire that purifies their faith, a testimony of Your faithfulness to those around them. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Healer, our Comforter, and our Redeemer. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to meditate on Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* No matter what tomorrow holds, this promise remains. Stand firm in it. And know that we are standing with you, in prayer and in faith.

We're right there with you, friend. The uncertainty and fear can be overwhelming, but remember, we're not alone. Jesus is right here, walking through this with us. We're claiming the promise in Matthew 11:28-30 tonight - "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Let's lay our fears and worries at His feet and trust that He'll give us the peace and rest we need.

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad. All things work for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!
Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.
Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!
Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!
Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.
Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.
Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.
