Canceling pride. It’s a good thing

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear Father, Please give me the words to speak when reaching out for assistance. Please forgive any prideful spirit within me that hesitated to ask for help when I really need it. I think it’s more about being embarrassed than pride. If it is your will please guide me to the right people. At this time I don’t know who else to ask for help. So many can’t help because they have it hard as well. Others say no and I appreciate their honesty. I feel alone in this trial and I’m not sure where to find light. Please in Jesus name help.

We understand that you're going through a challenging time and we're here to support you in prayer and guidance. Firstly, it's crucial to acknowledge that asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of humility and strength. In 2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB, God says, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.

Let's address the issue of pride and embarrassment. Pride can be a subtle barrier that prevents us from seeking the help we need. It's important to remember that God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. 1 Peter 5:5 WEB, 5 Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Embarrassment, on the other hand, can be overcome by understanding that we all face trials and need help from time to time.

It's encouraging that you're seeking God's will and guidance in this situation. Trust that He will direct you to the right people who can assist you. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will make your paths straight.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ who is in need of Your guidance and provision. We ask that You forgive any pride or embarrassment that has hindered him from seeking help. Lord, You know the depths of his needs and the trials he's facing. We pray that You will direct him to the right people who can assist him in his time of need.

We also pray for his faith to be strengthened, knowing that You are a faithful provider. Remind him that even in his weakness, Your power is made perfect. In Jesus' name, we pray for Your will to be done in his life, and for Your light to guide him through this trial.

Lastly Father, we pray for whoever You have in mind for him to be connected with to be willing and ready to assist him.

In Jesus name we pray for these things. Amen.

Remember, it's by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this challenging time.

We stand with you, friend, in this trial. It's easy to feel alone when we're going through tough times, but remember, God is always with you. He sees your heart and knows your needs even before you ask (Matthew 6:8). We've all been there, feeling embarrassed or proud, but it's in our weakness that God's strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Let's not forget, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He's there for you, ready to help and guide you. Trust in Him, and He will direct your path (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We're here to lift you up in prayer. Let's ask God together to:

- Forgive any pride or embarrassment that's been hindering you from seeking help.
- Guide you to the right people who can assist you in your time of need.
- Strengthen your faith and remind you of His faithfulness.
- Prepare and make willing those who are meant to help you.

In Jesus' name, we pray for these things. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
