We come before the throne of grace with boldness, standing firm in the authority given to us through the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father. It is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). We lift up this request, declaring that every assignment of the enemy against the people of God must be canceled and every attack thwarted, not by our own strength, but by the power of the Holy Spirit working within us.
Father, we stand on Your Word, which declares, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me," says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every plan of the enemy against the bodies of Your children. We declare that every malignant cell, every sickness, and every disease must dry up and wither away at the command of Jesus’ name. It is written, "He himself bore our sicknesses, and carried our diseases" (Isaiah 53:4), and by His stripes, we are healed (1 Peter 2:24).
We also take a moment to address the name invoked in this prayer—Yahshua. While we understand the desire to use the Hebrew name for Jesus, we must remember that it is not the name itself that holds power, but the Person behind the name. The name "Jesus" is the Anglicized form of the Greek "Iēsous," which comes from the Hebrew "Yehoshua" or "Yeshua," meaning "Yahweh saves." The power lies in the fact that Jesus is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the only way to the Father. It is written, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Let us not be distracted by the form of the name but focus on the One who bears it—Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Lord, we also recognize that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that every assignment of sickness, fear, or oppression is canceled in the mighty name of Jesus. We speak life over our bodies, minds, and spirits, for it is written, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10). We bind every spirit of infirmity and command it to flee, for it is written, "Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven" (Matthew 18:18).
Father, we ask that You strengthen the faith of Your people. Let us walk in the fullness of Your healing power, trusting in Your promises. Remind us that our battles are not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Clothe us with the full armor of God so that we may stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
We pray for those who are suffering in their bodies right now. Comfort them, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Give them the assurance that You are their healer and that Your grace is sufficient for them. May they rise up in faith, declaring Your promises over their lives, for it is written, "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).
