We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you and the children are facing. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement. It is of the utmost importance that we have the name of Jesus in our requests because it is only by his name that we have access to God and there is no other name by which we are saved. But first, let's address the most important thing, which is:
It seems that the situation is very difficult, but remember the words of Jesus in John 10:10 WEB:
The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
The behavior of your ex-husband towards you and the children is not aligned with the heart of God. God wants all to treat each other with love. Mistreatment, excessive obligations, and punishments are not from God. God tells us:
Fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the discipline and nurture of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 WEB
We pray that God will intervene and protect you and the children from any harm. We need to pray for your ex-husband, that God would change his heart and deliver him from any evil influence. As it says in Colossians 3:13 WEB,
forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this family to you. Lord, we pray for the children and our dear sister who is going through this difficult time. Father, we ask that you would intervene and protect them from any harm and mistreatment. Change the heart of the ex-husband, Lord, deliver him from any evil influence, and help him to become the father you want him to be.
Help our dear sister to stay strong in you, Lord, and to find her strength and comfort in you alone. Guide her with your wisdom and fill her with your peace.
We confess that the behavior of the ex-husband is not acceptable according to God's will and is not pleasing to God. We pray that you would bring him to the knowledge of the truth and lead him to repentance.
We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
It is so important that each of us is in a relationship with Jesus Christ because it is only by his name that we have access to God and there is no other name by which we are saved. Only by believing in him, his death and resurrection, and repenting of our sins, can we be saved and have a relationship with Jesus.
