We join you in prayer about this practical need before you leave for the weekend and we understand how unsettling it can feel when something meant to help keep your home safe is suddenly not working.

We are reminded that while tools like a security camera can be helpful, our ultimate safety and peace come from the Lord. We take comfort in Psalm 121:4 which says Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep, and in Psalm 127:1 which says Unless Yahweh watches the house, they labor in vain who watch it. We also hold to Proverbs 18:10 which says The name of Yahweh is a strong tower: the righteous run to it, and are safe. He cares about even the small details that cause us worry, and we are told in Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We can also cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us as shown in 1 Peter 5:7.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why we always pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we bring every request to God, even for something as practical as a camera.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this need to You. You see this home and You know the concern about leaving for the weekend without the security camera working. We ask in Jesus name that You would allow this camera to work properly before they leave, that any simple issue with power, connection, or settings would be revealed and easily restored. Grant wisdom and calm as they troubleshoot, and provide help if needed. We also ask for Your hand of protection over this home while they are away, and for traveling mercies and peace over the weekend. Guard their hearts from anxiety and let them rest in the knowledge that You never sleep and You are always watching over them. Help them to trust You above any device, knowing that You are their true refuge. We pray for Your peace to guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to do what you can practically while trusting the Lord with the outcome, checking power and connections, restarting the device or router if that is wise, and perhaps letting a trusted neighbor or family member know you will be away. Whether the camera begins working again or not, we pray you will experience the peace of Psalm 4:8 which says In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety, and the confidence of Proverbs 3:5-6 to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. We are praying that God grants you a peaceful and safe weekend.

We know how unsettling it is when you are getting ready to leave for the weekend and the one thing you are counting on for peace of mind suddenly isn't working. It's understandable to want that camera reliable before you head out, and we are glad you asked us to pray with you about it.

We will be praying for a simple fix and for peace as you prepare to go. If you have a few minutes before you leave, sometimes unplugging the camera for about 30 seconds, checking that it is still connected to wifi, and restarting the app clears up a random glitch. It can also help to do a quick live test while you are still home, and if it is still not working, asking a trusted neighbor or family member to keep an eye on the house over the weekend can give you extra reassurance.

Father, we bring this need to You and ask for Your care over this home while they are away. We ask that You would allow the camera to work properly again, and if it does not, please provide other ways for them to feel secure and at rest. Give them a safe trip and a calm weekend, and bring them home with nothing to worry about. We trust Your watchful care over them and their house. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request concerning the security camera has been brought before the Lord, and we join you in prayer for this need.

It is a small care in the eyes of some, yet no care is small to our Father when it burdens His child. You do well to bring it to Him, for we are taught to cry unto God most high, unto God that performeth all things for us. A camera may watch a door, but it is the Lord who watches over His people, and beneath the shadow of His wings we make our refuge. Instruments may fail, as all earthly things may, but God has not made this world to be our final nest, and He would have us find our true safety in Him.

We pray that the Lord in His kindness would grant you favour in this matter, that the device would be made to work again before you leave, and that your home would be kept in peace while you are away. May He guide the hands that examine it, or in His providence make plain what is needed, and may He keep you from undue anxiety, helping you to do what is right and then to leave the result with Him. Above all we ask that your heart may trust Him fully, whether the camera be restored or not, knowing that He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and that whether at home or abroad you are forever in your Father's house.

We commit this to Him who hears prayer, trusting not in our own worthiness but in the blood and merits of Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom alone we have access to the throne of grace. Amen.

Your request for prayer about your house security camera has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.

We understand the concern you feel as you prepare to leave for the weekend and want your home to be watched over. While we can take practical steps to protect what has been entrusted to us, we remember that our true security and rest are found in Christ, who promises to give rest to all who labor and are heavy laden and to keep His people in His care.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we thank You for Your constant watch over us, for You neither slumber nor sleep. We ask that You would grant wisdom and help as this camera is checked and prepared, and if it is Your will, that it would work properly and give peace of mind while away for the weekend. We ask for Your protection over this home and for safe travel and a peaceful time away. Above all, give a heart that rests not in devices or possessions, but in Your faithful keeping. Grant calm instead of anxiety, and help to trust You in all things. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this need. I have prayed with you about the security camera and about your time away from home.

It is understandable to want that camera working before you leave. It is good to be responsible and to take practical steps to care for what God has entrusted to you. At the same time this small frustration is a chance to remember where our true security rests.

Our security is not in a device on a wall, just as it was never in a building or in any outward strength. A camera can be helpful, but it cannot ultimately keep you safe. Scripture reminds us that our sanctuary, our place of protection and rest, is the throne of God Himself. When we abide in Christ, we are in the safest place of all.

Worry over these things has no real value and only steals our peace. Jesus pointed to the lilies of the field to show how our Father cares for what He has made, and how much more He cares for His children. If we seek Him first, His kingdom and His righteousness, we can trust Him to take care of the rest. He is in control and He has not stepped down from His throne. He is far bigger than any problem that looms large in our eyes, and when we keep our sight on how great He is, our problems come back into proper perspective.

We also have the privilege of coming directly to Him. Because of what Jesus has done, we are not kept at a distance but have open access to our Father. He is the initiator. He loved us first and gave Himself for us, and our prayers are simply a response to His goodness. We do not need to work to get His attention. We rest in what He is already doing, trusting that He is working in us and for us in ways we cannot do for ourselves, and that rest brings a quiet peace even when details remain unresolved.

So I join you in asking the Lord to provide wisdom as you check the camera, the connections and power, and to grant that it would work properly if it is His will. Above that, I pray He would guard your home and your hearts while you are away, and give you rest from anxiety. May you know deeply that He loves you, that He is for you, and that if He is for you nothing can truly stand against you. May your awe for who He is grow larger than any concern about what might go wrong, and may you experience His comfort and peace.

Father in heaven, I bring this need before You in the name of Jesus. You see this home and this camera that is not working as it should. I ask for Your help with this practical matter and for wisdom to address it. More than that, I ask that You would be their protector and their peace.
