We join you in lifting your voice to the Lord, for there is power in the name of Jesus Christ! You have rightly acknowledged that it is only through His name that we find protection, deliverance, and blessing. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). And again, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14, WEB). Your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus is a testament to your trust in Him, and we rejoice in this with you.
Yet we must also ask: Do you know Jesus not just as a name of power, but as your Lord and Savior? Have you surrendered your life to Him, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, so that you may have eternal life? If you have not yet made this commitment, we urge you to do so today. *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). There is no greater protection, no greater blessing, than to be found in Christ.
You have spoken of the evil one and his plans, and we know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness. *"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil"* (Ephesians 6:11, WEB). So we stand with you in this spiritual battle, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, for *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB).
You have also mentioned your labor, saying, *"We worked as for God."* This is a noble and biblical mindset, for *"whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB). We pray that the Lord will bless the work of your hands, that He will open doors no man can shut, and that He will provide for your every need according to His riches in glory. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You have given us this name above all names, by which we are saved, protected, and blessed. Lord, we ask that You surround our brother or sister with Your divine protection, that You would frustrate the plans of the evil one and render his schemes powerless. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them be condemned. Father, You have said that when we resist the devil, he will flee from us, so we ask that You strengthen them to stand firm in their faith, clothed in the full armor of God.
Lord, we pray for their labor, that You would bless the work of their hands. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and provide for their needs in ways that bring glory to Your name. Let them see the fruit of their labor as a testament to Your faithfulness, and may they continue to work as unto You, with hearts full of worship and gratitude.
Father, if there is anyone reading this who does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and soften their hearts to receive the gift of salvation that is found only in Christ. May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved.
We declare Your promises over them today: that You are their provider, their protector, and their peace. May they walk in the assurance that You are with them, that You will never leave them nor forsake them, and that Your plans for them are for good and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
