Call For Fasting 3

Hello everyone as we start this fast I felt led to share some verses on fasting.

Matthew 6: 16-18 And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Isaiah 58:6 “Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?

Be strong during this fast, the enemy knows how powerful fasting is and will try to stop you by putting thoughts in your head of reasons to stop. Surround yourself in God's presence with music and reading His word. Speak to God continuously He will answer. There is so much power in fasting it will change you God will give you an encounter with Him. Seek His answers and be sure you pray for others not just yourself.

Job 42:10 - And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

My excitement of what God is going to do is so high right now. I can't wait to see the testimonies. Be strong and remember we have all authority over the enemy make sure you let the enemy know that you know that.

Oh I wanted to tell you guys that my church is doing something amazing next Sunday. We are only having 1 service at 11 because we are going to do something called "Gone Fishing". They are going out into the community to preach the gospel and testify to the people on the streets and try to return the lost sheep back to the Lord. There are going to be different groups of people doing different things. The group that is staying back at church is going to do something awesome. We have a huuuuge basket that have pieces of paper with names on them that people have placed in there to have their loved ones' get prayed over. Every Sunday service, we pray over those lost souls on a whole. I have put my husband's name in there plenty of times along with other names of people that I know need Christ in their lives. Well, my pastor announced that he, and the group that will be staying in next Sunday, will actually take all the pieces of paper out and pray over EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL NAME that is in the basket. I was curious to see how full the basket was so after service last Sunday I peeked into the basket......IT'S COMPLETELY FULL!!!! My spirit rejoiced because my husband along with thousands or millions of other people have been getting prayed over every Sunday and will continue to be prayed over. I'm so happy and overjoyed.

With all that being said, I wanted to know if you guys would like me to also write down your spouses' names and the other peoples' names as well. If so, Inbox me both first and last names. God bless

Summary (due to privacy): The church is organizing a community outreach event called "Gone Fishing" to preach the gospel and pray for individuals. A basket with names for prayer is being used, and the pastor will pray for each person listed. The organizer is asking for more names to be added for prayer.

I'm sure ###'s intentions when starting this page was for praise reports and prayers for our marriages however it has turned into so much more.

A place where not only we could post praise reports and prayers needed but also a support group where we could post things we were feeling and going through. Who else better to talk to than others who are or have gone through what we are going through as they have felt and experienced the same things. It helps you to better understand those feelings.

My biggest stumbling block is that there is just no breakthroughs at all.

Raven, that is true. There haven't been any breakthroughs when it comes to the relationship between us and our spouses but God IS working. We can clearly see that. Remember, He has to set things up a certain way. And it has to be in His timing. Breakthroughs are coming. Praise God in advance for them

Actually, I have seen some breakthroughs with other marriages here. Ever so small breakthroughs but still breakthroughs none the less.

None with mine though.

Good. Your breakthrough is coming. I still haven't had a breakthrough either, so I know how you feel. As I'm sitting here thinking, I started crying because my husband and I haven't even gotten to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. He decided to leave months before our anniversary. And we also don't have any kids. We both want a daughter. But now everything just seems hopeless. But I MUST believe in God and His promises of restoration.

I'm sorry ###. Know how you feel as the last few nights haven't been so hot for me either. Maybe not even the best week. Seemed to have been in a valley as of late.

Everything is ok during the day when you can call and hang around family and friends but it really seems to hit you hardest when your sitting at home by your self at night.

I usually try to occupy myself with listening to a Christian radio station or listening to ###'s and ###'s online.

As long as I'm feeding myself on God's word and message, I do better but it's when everything is quite, not so good.

Same here. When I start feeling lonely at night, laying in bed, I just start talking to God. I feel Him there sometimes just leaning in and listening. Sometimes it hurts too much to talk but He knows what I'm thinking. I'm glad that He is with all of us in this season of our lives and forevermore.
