Call For Fasting 3

Hello everyone as we start this fast I felt led to share some verses on fasting.

Matthew 6: 16-18 And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Isaiah 58:6 “Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?

Be strong during this fast, the enemy knows how powerful fasting is and will try to stop you by putting thoughts in your head of reasons to stop. Surround yourself in God's presence with music and reading His word. Speak to God continuously He will answer. There is so much power in fasting it will change you God will give you an encounter with Him. Seek His answers and be sure you pray for others not just yourself.

Job 42:10 - And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

My excitement of what God is going to do is so high right now. I can't wait to see the testimonies. Be strong and remember we have all authority over the enemy make sure you let the enemy know that you know that.

God bless

Amen stay strong, I know it's hard to see but we are already victorious in this situation. One thing I have learned is to keep my mouth shut around my wife, I only say things that are uplifting. May I recommend you read Proverbs and learn how to not speak out of anger. Loving unconditionally is hard but it is the greatest command given to us by Jesus. Some may argue saying He just said love one another not unconditionally love one another. However, if you read what Paul writes about love and what it is, you see there is no other love but unconditional love. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

New International Version (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Today is a day of celebration of our savior. Take time today to praise and worship him wherever you are. Do not be ashamed of our Lord, proclaim His love from the rooftops. We are warriors for His word, we do not hide, we do not give up, we do not sell out. Share God's love with someone, go donate food to the homeless, show His love somehow. We are overcomers and with Christ nothing can bring us down, for we fight for something more than our marriages. God has called us to the front lines and had us step out of our comfort zone so He can do something in us far greater than anything of this world. He is building our strength and endurance so we can lack nothing. God is love, let His love consume you this day. Tell God to not hold back; we surrender to His will, fill us to the point of overflowing with His love. God is good, praise His name. His love endures forever.

I'd love to hear about your successes! Please share your praise reports & testimonies of breakthroughs you are experiencing.

Continuing to pray for restoration & healing.... God bless you all.

I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through. It sounds like a very challenging time. Here's a redacted version of your message:

I'm actually having allot of opposition. Since I have started fasting, things have actually gotten worse. I did my taxes, come to find out, I'm not getting anything back but now I owe. I am already struggling financially since my husband left. My husband has gotten another job with better hours and better pay. We spoke yesterday on the phone and turns out he still wants to pursue getting a divorce and he said that us getting married was a mistake and it probably shouldn't have happened. He said that he misses our dogs allot but he doesn't really miss me. Things are now turning around in his favor and I'm sure he is now probably thinking that he made the right choice in leaving me. It hurts because I feel like everything I'm praying for isn't happening but the opposite is. The only good thing is that he said he could help more financially and that he plans on going to church this Sunday....with his aunt and cousin. I'm so confused, lost and hurt. But my fast doesn't end till next Tuesday. I've been called to do 14 days.

Allibear, this happens to me all the time - right before a breakthrough.

Sometimes the breakthrough could be what you were asking for, sometimes it's something better, and sometimes it's insight / guidance / direction / wisdom / a revelation from God...

As you get closer to the blessing God has for you, the devil pulls out all his stops.

He wants to take the victory from you, so knowing he has very little time he hits the hardest.

Don't give in to the enemy!

I know it's hard, but God is pleased when we can still praise Him through the pain & discouragement... And the devil will flee!

That's how we can pass the true test of faith.

Hold on. Keep praying. Talk to God about EVERYTHING. He's right next to you. He will never give up on you, so don't give up on Him.

Thank you so much ###. That was very uplifting. I actually teared up and smiled when I read that. Besides all this opposition, I keep feeling something deep down in my spirit that something is about to happen, but I don't know what. And I don't know if it will be a good thing or a bad thing. I am still praying and standing for all of our marriages. Even though I feel weak and weary...

One thing I saw God do during this fast was open lines of communication between spouses. Hearts are turning, keep the faith.

Yes, hang in there allibear.

Things are not going any better with me and my wife either. She is pursuing getting a home with the tax return. She is only speaking to our son and avoiding me and I know it's because talking to me would cause her to doubt what she is doing.

However, as Mariposa said, The devil is going to do everything possible to tear all of us down (he has come to kill, steal, and destroy). He is wanting us to lose faith. When things come along and hurt you emotionally or try to depress you, rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus Christ then walk off thanking God for all he has done for you and for being a God of grace, mercy, caring, forgiving, and healing (and in my case a patient God).

You mentioned your husband going to church. That is a good thing!

What better place for God to speak to him through his word and in the process could soften and change his heart and thinking.

Thanks Raven. Yes I am happy that he is going. I hope he actually really does go. I have been trying to set an example for him and my family as well. I am always praying for him and all of our prodigals.

Jesus Christ, help me! I am on my 3rd day of fasting. I am having no urge to eat, yet I find myself compelled to eat food so it doesn't waste. The pantry seems to be fuller as well. I'm not sure if I am being affected by another spirit that is competitive and doesn't want me to complete this...
