Call For Fasting 3

Hello every one as we start this fast I felt lead to share some verses on fasting.

Matthew 6: 16-18 And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Isiah 58:6 “Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?

Be strong during this fast, the enemy knows how powerful fasting is and will try to stop you by putting thoughts in your head of reasons to stop. Surround yourself in Gods presents with music and reading His word. Speak to God continuously He will answer. There is so much power in fasting it will change you God will give you an encounter with Him. Seek His answers and be sure you pray for others not just your self.

Job 42:10 - And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

I've been struggling as well but God keeps reminding me of His promise so I have to believe.

I hope everyone is doing a little bit better. I think I'm falling into depression, I feel I am only human and this burden is too much to bare. I read the bible and pray but I just feel worse for some reason.

Wwg, your not the only one feeling that way right now and I don't understand why it is that some of these spouses is sailing smooth waters and we are in a typhoon.

Received separation letter from my wifes lawyer yesterday and it is 15 pages filled with nothing but legal mumbo jumbo so now Im gonna have to make arrangements to take these papers to a lawyer to let him look them over.

We all are going threw a rough time my little girls just cant understand why they can't see mommy who moved over 20 hour drive away . the only thing that keeps me going is knowing it could be worse and others out there are going threw the same thing if not worse things as I am. It helps to stop thinking about what your going threw and start praying for others who may be having it worse. The enemy tries to keep our minds on the problem but God is in control and it may not make since what He is doing now but I know in the end it will be beautiful when my spouse comes back because God did it. I tell the enemy he can not steal mynjoy and remember this verse 1peter 5:9 But you must resist the devil and stay strong in your faith. You know that all over the world the Lord’s followers are suffering just as you are.

I just wanted to update you guys and maybe give you a little hope. After I wrote my post and posted on the prayer forum I started to cry and had this deep empty feeling. I told my husband I couldn't do it anymore and was thinking of telling him I just wanted time to think about things and have no contact but I came across an article that really helped us. We have really bad communication issues and essentially we both got into the disengaged spouse role: http://powertochange.com/experience/sex-love/disengagedspouse/, my husband showed me one of the comments and said that's how he felt like and it helped me to understand him better. He said he wants to show that he loves me and said he'll start reading the bible more (my heart jumped for joy when I heard that). One of the reasons our marriage failed was because it was like we were unequally yoked. He said he was a christian but his way of living showed otherwise. This gives me hope and I feel that he is getting really close to salvation. I still have my doubts but feel much better with a little hope. Prayer works guys, just keep praying until something happens. I know that this all happened for a reason and it will be revealed in God's time. I don't know about the future but God does and I feel entrusting him with it.

i'm good. just been working and trying not to focus on my situation anymore. i'm finding it easier to just let go. when i cry, its only a few tears now which i feel is great. i still dont want to talk to or see my husband. not yet anyway. I've just chosen to accept whatever may happen from this point on. how are you scott?

I am OK, trying to get use to being a single fulltime dad its not easy. I could use some prayer as I am being tempted to go back to past addictions to ease stress I don't want to go back to what I was before this. Please pray for me
