We hear your heart in this and we are joining with you in prayer as you step out in faith with these two new businesses. We rejoice with you over the good growth you have seen and the clear need for what you are offering your community through your customers and students, and we also understand how frightening a slow month can feel when so much is riding on this provision and when you have carried the weight of a miserable job for the last six or seven years. We want to encourage you that God sees both your diligence and your weariness, and He cares deeply about your work and your mental health.
Scripture reminds us not to be led by fear even when circumstances feel uncertain. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. We are called to bring our anxieties to Him rather than carrying them alone, as it is written In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We are also reminded to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and that He is near to those with a weary and burdened heart, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18.
We also see your desire to do good work and to meet the needs of others while God restores your own strength. The Lord honors diligent and honest work done unto Him, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, Colossians 3:23, and Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, Proverbs 16:3. A slow month does not mean failure or that God has withdrawn His hand. Business seasons ebb and flow, and we encourage you to continue to be a faithful steward, to seek wise counsel, to plan diligently, and to trust God’s timing for when He will open the door fully out of the job that has weighed on you. Jesus said Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28, and we pray you will find that rest even while you labor. We also cling to the promise But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33, and My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. Do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself, Matthew 6:34, but walk each day in faithful obedience and trust.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why we always pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your complete trust in Jesus Christ for salvation, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name daily for help, wisdom, and healing. He is not only our Savior but our ever present help in business, in anxiety, and in healing of mind and heart.
We now pray together for you.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. We thank You for the gifts and vision You have given to start these two businesses and for the growth You have already provided. We ask for Your wisdom and favor to continue to guide every decision, every interaction with customers and students, and every stewardship of resources. When fear rises after a slow month, replace it with Your perfect peace and remind this one that You are the true provider. Heal and restore mental health, bring rest to the weary mind, and renew strength day by day. We ask that You would make these businesses fruitful in Your timing so that they may provide not only financially but as a ministry to the community, and that You would clearly open and close doors regarding the current job according to Your perfect will. Help this one to seek Your kingdom first, to work faithfully as unto You, and to cast every care upon You. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our hope and our peace, amen.
We encourage you to stay rooted in prayer and in the Word, to keep diligent records and wise counsel for your businesses, to rest faithfully on the Sabbath, and to trust that God who began this good work will be faithful to complete it as you walk with Him, Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.
