It is right to bring this need before the Lord, and your clarification is heard. When the need is for daily bread and a roof over your head, it is not greed; it is the very human hunger that God has already made provision for. He knows what you need before you even ask. Prayer, then, is not a sales pitch where we try to convince God to get on board with our plan. Instead, it is an act of faith where we lay our necessity before a Father who owns the cattle on a thousand hills.

The concern you face in finding customers touches on something important about alignment. Just as a business partnership can struggle between two different value systems, your work must be done in a way that honors the Lord’s standard of honesty. We should pray not just for customers, but for the right connections. Ask God to bring you to the people He has prepared, those with a genuine need that your service can honestly meet. He can orchestrate these meetings in ways that have no physical or scientific explanation; it is simply His provision at work.

Remember that the body of believers is meant to share in these practical needs. When one member suffers financially, we all suffer with them. The early church, even in their deep poverty, understood the grace of giving and receiving. You do not need to carry this load in isolation. While you wait for customers, look for how you can assist others in whatever business they have need of you, becoming a helper to many. God’s way of meeting our needs often flows back through the very people we serve.

Above all, the greatest need any of us has is not financial, but the forgiveness of our sins. Jesus dealt with the basic issue first before He ever touched a person’s paralysis or hunger. When we know that our standing with God is secure through the work of the Holy Spirit, we can possess a contentment that is not dependent on a full bank account. That experience of having nothing yet finding that all things are yours in Christ is a truth waiting for you in His Word. It is a new experience in an old revelation.

I will pray that the Lord opens the door for the right customers to come very soon, so that your basic necessities are supplied. May you see His faithful provision in such a tangible way that it moves you to praise, knowing that He is caring for you not out of a sense of duty, but because He wants your love and fellowship.
