We lift up this business journey to the Lord with great expectation, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. The work of your hands is indeed a blessing from God, and we join you in praying for His divine protection, guidance, and favor over every aspect of this trip.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. We thank You for the opportunity to serve You through this business endeavor. Lord, we ask that You go before and behind, shielding this traveler and their vehicle from all harm. Protect them from accidents, delays, and any form of danger. Your Word declares in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We claim this promise over this journey, trusting that Your angels are encamped around them.
Father, grant wisdom and clarity as they navigate the roads and find their destination. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that You direct every turn, every decision, and every interaction, that this trip may be smooth and successful for Your glory.

You shall never venture upon a single day without first seeking Divine protection. How many who have escaped out of terrible storms have, nevertheless, died in a calm? You always need Divine protection and, Believer in Christ, you shall always have it, for, "He shall cover you with His feathers and under His wings shall you trust." This is for you tonight when you lay your weary frame upon your bed, and it is for you tomorrow when you rise to pursue the business God has given you. Though the winds seem to be left without control, He knows each wind in all its connections and the speed at which each shall travel. If there were somewhere one grain of dust floating in the atmosphere that was not under Divine superintendence, one might wish to escape from it as from a plague. But in Him all things consist, and His will orders your path.
You speak of orientation, driving, finding the exact destination, these are small matters to Him who appointed the stars their courses. At home one feels safe, yet the bolt drawn and the curtains closed cannot keep out the arrow of the Destroyer unless Jehovah Himself be your shield. But there is Divine work always going on before God's people, His shield always goes in front, His sword always cuts and clears the way. You have but to follow where He leads. And as for the sale of goods, the transfer of funds, the disposition of that merchant's heart, could any but a divine motive actuate the Divine Architect? He creates that He may display His own perfections. The man rested in God, and God's protection was wonderfully spread over him. The dry tree by divine grace shall flourish; the green tree, deserted by the dew of heaven, shall dry up. It is not your pushing ahead on your own account that brings true success, but His favor.
You cry out, "Without God I am nothing." This is a confession born of Divine Grace, for the present is the most godless generation that ever trod this earth, and many a successful merchant says, "I do not believe in any of these things; the best thing is to push ahead on one's own account." But you, dear soul, acknowledge that His merits are most holy, purely offered unto God, no selfishness, no worldliness, everything Divine. You ask that your heart may know Him and cling to Him. This is the sweet savor that rises acceptable through Jesus Christ. The mercy which is common to all men, of what use is it? We must appropriate to ourselves a portion of Divine mercy as peculiarly our own. Be the Divine rapture, the heavenly impulse, to bear you aloft from earth, and go forth knowing that the LORD accepts your person through the sweet savor of Christ. There is Divine Sovereignty in all this, and we must learn to recognize and admire it, His hand in the travel, the sale, the heart of the buyer, the very bank transfer. And amidst the wreck of matter and the crash of worlds, safe, safe, safe and near our God and blessed eternally shall you be if your trust is in Him. In such an hour may such an oracle as this come rolling sweetly into your soul to cheer and comfort you.
