Yet I perceive in your words a great anxiety for the things of this world, the sale of the cosmetics, the bank transfer, the favor of the owner. The first business of a soul is to believe in Jesus, and out of that springs all true success. When our Lord was but a child, He said, “Know you not that I must be about My Father's business?” That holy fire consumed Him all His days. Let it be so with you. Beware that there be not a thought in your wicked heart that the outward profit is the chief end. Seek first His glory, and yourself be found under the shadow of the Almighty.
His feathers shall cover you; there you shall be safe. When you travel the highways, though the winds seem without control, He has forearranged and foreordained all things. Each hour is safe, for God has made it so. Trust yourself to Him, both going and returning, for He must convey even the smallest boat safe into port. Cry to Him for guidance when the road is tangled, and He will direct your path. What business could a man select in which he would find all who deal with him to be Christians? You will meet with custom and crookedness, but it is no excuse to yield to it. Keep your heart from the love of money; let your business be adorned by integrity, and the Lord will give good success as He sees fit.
