Burner

Beloved of All
Burner continues to burn somehow don’t know what is going on why it is still emitting heat after the nob was turned off, this never happened before Jesus keep us safe, amen

We join with you in prayer for your safety and we thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for there is power and protection in His name. We understand how unsettling it is when something in the home does not work as it should, especially when it involves heat and fire, and we are bringing your household before the Lord together.

We are reminded that God is our refuge and our protector. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. And Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. We also take comfort that God gives wisdom for practical needs, as James 1:5 says If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

We encourage you to act with wisdom and caution while you wait on the Lord for protection. Please do not leave the burner unattended and keep children and anything flammable away from it. If it is an electric stove, turn off the power to the stove at the circuit breaker and if it is a gas stove, turn off the gas supply to the stove if you know how to do so safely and ventilate the area. Do not try to take the stove apart yourself. Contact a qualified appliance technician or your landlord or property maintenance right away to inspect it, and if you see flames that will not stop, smell gas, or feel unsafe at any moment, leave the home and call for emergency help. It is wise to have a working smoke detector and to know where you would exit quickly if needed.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You that You hear us when we call. We ask for Your hand of protection over this home and everyone in it. Lord, keep them safe from fire and harm and give them peace in place of fear. We ask for wisdom and guidance to know the right steps to take and we pray You would bring a trustworthy person to repair what is broken and to reveal why the burner continues to emit heat after being turned off. Let Your presence be their refuge and let them rest in Your care. We trust You to guard this household and to keep them safe through this night and in the days ahead. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We were glad you reached out about this, that feeling when a burner stays hot after you turned the knob is frightening, especially when it has never happened before. It makes sense you would feel on edge and ask Jesus to keep you safe.

For your safety we would encourage you not to leave the stove unattended while it is still emitting heat. If you can do so safely, make sure the knob is fully in the off position and keep anything flammable, towels, paper or curtains, well away from it. Do not try to take the stove apart or fix the burner yourself. If the burner stays hot, if you smell gas, or if you see a glow or flame that will not stop, it is wise to turn off power or gas to the stove only if you know where the shutoff is and can do it safely, then step away and get help right away from a qualified appliance technician, your landlord or building maintenance, or your gas or electric utility. If you are at all worried about fire or gas, contact your local fire department or emergency services for guidance.

We are praying for you.

Father, we ask for Your protection over this home and for wisdom and quick help to sort out what is wrong with this burner. Bring peace where there is fear tonight and keep everyone safe. In Jesus name, amen.

Your prayer concerning the burner has been heard and we join you in asking the Lord to keep you safe in your home.

It is an unsettling thing when that which should be under our hand continues to burn when we have turned it off, and such a trial may well awaken fear. Yet hear how graciously the Lord speaks to His people in such times, Fear not, for I will help thee, saith the Lord. The Scripture is full of this tender word, Fear not, I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. When those lips which speak mercy say Fear not, we may take courage, not by casting away prudence, but by trusting Him while we do what wisdom requires.

We would urge you, even as you pray, to act with care for the safety of all in the house. If the burner still emits heat after the knob is turned off, turn off the gas supply to the stove if you are able to do so safely, or unplug it if it is electric, open windows for ventilation, do not leave it unattended, and keep children away from it. If you smell gas or suspect a leak, leave the house and call for help at once. Have a qualified technician or your landlord examine the appliance without delay, for a faulty valve or control should not be left to chance. The Lord in His wisdom often keeps us through the use of means, and to use those means is not a lack of faith but the path of wisdom.

Let us pray together. O Lord, You are able to keep us from falling and to preserve us in all our ways. Look upon this home and let Your protecting hand be over it. Keep all who dwell there from harm, give clear mind and steady hand to deal with this danger, and provide skilled help to make the stove safe again. Quiet fear with Your promise that You will help Your people, and teach us to trust You and to walk in prudence. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who shed His blood to cleanse us from all sin and who alone is our safety. Amen.

We encourage you to seek help today and not to use the burner again until it has been inspected and repaired. May the Lord give you peace as you trust Him and take these needful steps.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and I join you in asking the Lord to keep you and your household safe. It is right to bring this concern to God, for when something in our home feels out of control, anxiety quickly comes, and we need His peace and protection.

I pray that Jesus will guard you from all harm, give you calm and clear mind, and keep your home in perfect safety. May He who is a stronghold for those who fear Him watch over you, keep you from danger as you sleep and as you wake, and free you from fear.

At the same time, God calls us to act with wisdom and care for the safety He gives. A burner that continues to emit heat after the knob is turned off should be treated as a serious matter and not left unattended. Please take these steps promptly:

First, if it is a gas stove and you smell gas, or if you see flame that will not go out, leave the home at once and call for help from outside, then contact your gas company or fire department. Do not try to fix a gas leak yourself and do not use lighters, candles or switches while inside.

If it is an electric burner, it may hold residual heat for a time, but if it stays hot much longer than usual, or glows, or the knob feels loose or broken, turn off power to the stove at the breaker if you can do so safely, do not touch the hot surface, keep anything flammable away from it, ventilate the area, and do not leave it alone.

In either case, have a qualified appliance technician inspect the stove before using it again, even if it seems to cool down later. A faulty switch, valve or heating element can be dangerous.

I will continue to pray that the Lord keeps you safe, removes this hazard, and gives you peace until the problem is resolved. If you are in immediate danger, please seek help right away and let someone near you know what is happening.

Thank you for sharing this concern and for asking for prayer. I have prayed for you and for your household and for the Lord to keep you safe.

A burner that continues to give off heat after the knob is turned off is not normal and should be treated with careful wisdom. Please take prudent steps right away. Do not leave it unattended, make sure the area is ventilated, and if it is an electric range disconnect power or if it is gas shut off the gas supply if you know how to do so safely. Contact a qualified technician or appliance professional as soon as possible, and if you see flames, smell gas, or feel the heat is increasing, call for help from your local emergency services. Wisdom acts quickly and carefully rather than hoping the problem will go away on its own.

Scripture teaches that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom. That phrase means more than a starting point, it is the sum and substance of true understanding. It is not a cringing dread, but a reverent awe of who God is, His greatness and power and holiness, with a desire to love what He loves and to hate what He hates. To fear the Lord is to hate evil and to turn away from it, and when we walk in that reverence He gives wisdom for daily decisions and even health and steadiness to our lives. Honoring Him with our lives includes handling our homes and responsibilities with care.

That same reverence is also the cure for anxious fear. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. When fear takes over it often magnifies a problem and pushes us toward hasty or unwise reactions. Remembering that God is present dispels that kind of fear. The psalmist said though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for You are with me. The consciousness that God is with you is what quiets the heart. You do not need to be afraid of sudden trouble or disaster, for the Lord will be your confidence and keep you from being caught. He is your protection as you abide in Him and do what is wise and prudent, not out of panic but out of trust.

So bring this practical need to Him and also take the practical steps He makes clear. Ask Him for wisdom, thank Him that He is with you, and let that trust steady you while you get the appliance checked by someone who can repair it safely.

I pray that the Lord will guard you and your home from harm, give you calm and clear thinking, provide a quick and safe repair, and fill your heart with the peace that comes from knowing He is near. May He guide every decision you make and keep you and those you love in His care through Jesus Christ.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer concerning the burner that continued to emit heat after the knob was turned off when you shared that this had never happened before and you did not know what was going on.

We have been continuing to lift you up before the Lord and asking Him to keep you safe and to protect your household from any danger or harm. We have also prayed for wisdom and clear direction as you deal with this appliance. We are comforted by the promise in Psalm 91:1 that those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, and we have asked the Lord to cover you with His protection and peace.

If your request was answered and the burner is now working properly and you are safe, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice and give thanks with you.

If your request does not seem to have been answered and the burner is still emitting heat or you are still concerned for your safety, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We also encourage you to have the appliance checked by a qualified technician to ensure your safety.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, amen.
