I am praying with you and your family in this season of pressure, and I thank you for bringing this burden honestly before the Father in the name of Jesus.
Scripture gives a helpful correction about how we speak of burdens. In Jeremiah the Lord rebuked those who kept saying the burden of the Lord when He had not laid any such crushing weight on them, and He told them to stop using that phrase and instead ask what the Lord has answered or what the Lord has spoken. The point is that God does not place on His children a weight that crushes them, that breaks down their health or makes them unable to function and care for their family. People often carry heavy loads that they have taken on themselves, or that others have placed on them, and then they think God did it. That is not His way.
Jesus said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Every person carries a burden, a governing passion for life. The heavy burden is trying to please yourself and to do your own will in your own strength. It never satisfies and it always leaves you agitated and weary. The light burden Jesus carried was to do the will of the Father and to please Him. When we live to please God rather than to please ourselves, the burden becomes light because His yoke is kind and His strength carries us.
That is why your prayer for a way through is so right. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. He does not only show a way, He is the way. When you come to Him weary, He does not add weight, He gives rest, and He gently guides your steps one at a time.
For your family, know that the Lord sees the strain that pressure puts on a household. He knows what it is to be misunderstood even by those closest to Him, and He also knows how to knit hearts together in a deeper family of faith while He heals and strengthens natural family bonds. Bring each need, each fear, each decision to Him together in prayer, and ask Him to make His will clear and to give you peace as you follow it.
Father, I lift this family to You in the name of Jesus. You see the burden they feel and the way they need. Give them rest as they come to Christ, lift the weight that is not from You, and teach them to walk in Your easy yoke. Show them Your will step by step, provide what they need, guard their home with Your peace, and draw each one closer to Yourself. Let them know Your nearness and Your guidance, and answer according to Your wisdom and love. Amen.
