Beloved of All
I have a bully at work named ###. May he find happiness elsewhere at a different company without me leaving my current company

We hear your heart in this difficult workplace situation and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord, for He sees how you are being treated and He cares deeply about your peace.

It is understandable to want relief and to hope this coworker would find happiness elsewhere so you can remain where God has placed you. At the same time we are called to a higher response than simply wishing someone away. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. And in Romans 12:18-19 we are reminded, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. This does not mean we accept abuse or remain silent, but that we release bitterness and trust God to be our defender and to work in the heart of this man.

We also take comfort that the Lord is near to you in this trial, as Psalm 34:18 says, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He knows the stress and anxiety bullying can cause, and He desires to be your refuge and strength. We encourage you to respond with wisdom and gentleness where you can, for Proverbs 15:1 teaches, A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. We also encourage you to set clear and respectful boundaries, to document what is happening, and if needed to seek help from a supervisor or other proper authority, for God has placed authorities to promote what is good and to restrain what is harmful, and seeking their help is not unspiritual but wise. Above all we encourage you to forgive in your heart as Ephesians 4:32 says, And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you, so that bitterness does not take root.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why His name matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We are saved by believing that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and when we pray in His name we come boldly before God because of what He has done for us.

We pray together now for you and for this coworker.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is enduring bullying at work. Lord, You see every word and action, You know the hurt and frustration, and we ask You to be their comfort, strength, and protector. Grant them peace that surpasses understanding, wisdom to respond with grace and truth, and favor to remain in their current position if it is Your will. We also lift up this coworker who has caused pain. Lord, we ask You to work in his heart, to convict him of any unkindness, to transform him by Your Spirit, and to lead him to repentance and kindness. If it is Your will, open a door for him to find a different path and a place where he can flourish and do good, whether that is in another role or company, but above all let Your perfect will be done. Help both to experience Your love and to grow in Christlikeness, and let this workplace reflect more of Your peace. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray for this man rather than only praying for his departure, trusting that God can change any heart, and to keep entrusting your work situation to the Lord day by day, knowing He will guide your steps and guard your heart.

We're really sorry you're facing this day after day at work. Being targeted by a bully can make even a job you otherwise value feel draining and unsafe, and it's understandable to want relief without having to uproot yourself.

We are praying for you to have wisdom and steadiness in a tense environment. One thing that has helped others in ongoing workplace conflict is to pause and get clear on facts before deciding next moves. It can help to keep a simple private record of what happened, when, and any witnesses, in calm factual language, and to identify one wise, neutral person you can talk with confidentially, whether a trusted supervisor, HR contact, or a mediator at work who can help clarify options and protect your dignity. You don't have to navigate the tension alone, and having that structure often lowers the emotional and physical strain conflict brings.

We also hear your heart that ### would find a better fit elsewhere. We join you in praying God would guide both of you toward peace and toward work where you can flourish.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift up our friend at work. Surround them with Your peace and protection, give them clear wisdom for each conversation and decision, and provide supportive people who will listen and act fairly. Lead ### to the place that is right for him, and bring calm and respect to this workplace according to Your will. Amen.

Your trial at work has been heard and brought before the Lord with care. To be pressed by thronging duties and by unkind treatment is a heavy burden, and it is right to seek the Lord for deliverance and for peace.

The Scripture says, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That peace is not found in a change of circumstances alone, but in Christ Himself. It is the peace which God the Father gives, which Jesus Christ bought with His blood, and which the Holy Spirit works in the soul. As we have often sung, the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus, this is rest. May that perfect peace be your present possession even while sorrows surge around you at your daily labor.

We will pray that the Lord will bless you with that unalloyed peace which passes all understanding, that He would guard your heart and mind, give you wisdom in all your dealings, and help you to walk before this man and before all others with grace, patience and firmness that honors Christ. We pray also for the one who has troubled you, that the Lord would show him His marvelous loving kindness, turn his heart toward what is good and true, and lead him in the way of peace. Christ brings us safely through all the temptations of life, and His love is to the unworthy and to enemies, and we are called to pray for those who use us despitefully, that they might know the same mercy we have received.

We ask the Lord, if it be His wise and good will, to order your steps and his steps according to His providence, so that each may be placed where he can best serve and find useful labor without strife. Whether by a change of heart where he is, or by the Lord opening another door for him elsewhere that is truly better for him, we leave the means to Him who does all things well. Our desire is not for harm to any, but that peace from lips that cannot lie, peace through the blood which has made a full atonement, would reign in that workplace and in both hearts.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, You are the God of all peace, look upon Your servant who is troubled in his daily calling. Keep his mind stayed upon You and keep him in perfect peace. Renew his peace day by day, for You are unmoved though he is troubled. Give him a living, loving, lasting union with Christ, that he may bear this sorrow with Him and find rest in doing Your will. Work also in the heart of the other, show him Your marvelous loving kindness, and lead him into that which is good for his own soul and for others. Order all things according to Your perfect wisdom, and let Your will be done in that place of work, to the glory of Your name. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our peace, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request about the struggle with a bully at work has been brought before the Lord, and we join you in prayer over it. It is a heavy burden to face conflict each day where you must provide for yourself and do your work faithfully, and God sees both the trial and your desire to remain where He has placed you.

Scripture calls us to follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord, and Jesus says, My peace I give to you. The peace Christ gives is not the same as the absence of outward trouble, but a peace with Him that makes us able to be at peace with others and to stand strong when trouble comes. God is not a God of war and fighting, and He delights when His children seek to make war and fighting cease, both toward Him and toward our neighbor. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God, and those who imitate the Son of God seek to be at peace even when another wars against them.

In that spirit we pray for you and for the man you named. We do not pray for harm to come to him, but for good. We ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have peace with God and salvation, to work in both hearts.

We pray that God would guard you from returning evil for evil and from keeping a record of wrongs, and that He would give you nobleness of spirit to not rush into conflict but to wait quietly before Him, showing freedom from vainglory and trusting Him to act in His time. We pray He would give you wisdom to despise the strife that springs from the things of this life, and to keep your treasure above where no one can steal it, and that He would protect your position at work if it is His will for you to remain there.

We also pray for this man who has acted as a bully toward you. We ask that God would bring him to see his actions clearly, soften his heart, and lead him to repentance and faith in Christ if he does not know Him, and to a new way of acting toward others. We ask that God in His mercy would give him true happiness and fulfillment, which can only come from knowing Christ and walking in love. If it is according to the Lord's wisdom and kindness to both of you, we ask that God would open another door for him where he can use his gifts well and find that happiness elsewhere, without you needing to leave your current company, and that this would happen peacefully and without further strife. Above all we ask that the gospel of peace would rule in that workplace, so that war with God is ended and war between people is calmed.

We pray that the God of love and peace will be with you, comfort you, and make you perfect in love toward all, so that every evil may be removed and you may live in His peace that passes understanding. May He give you strength to endure this conflict faithfully, to pray for those who mistreat you, and to remain holy and at peace as you look to Him.

We will continue to pray for you, that the Lord would grant you quietness, protection, and favor at work, and that He would lead this other man into a better path for his own good and for the peace of all.

It is painful and draining to face intimidation at work day after day, and it is understandable to long for relief and for a peaceful workplace where you can do your job without fear.

God desires peace for you, and Scripture shows that real peace begins in a deeper place. Through the cross Jesus made peace between us and God by His blood, fulfilling what the law required and breaking down the walls that separated us. He does not only bring peace, He is our peace. When you have peace with God through faith in Christ, He can then give you the peace of God within your heart, the quiet steadiness that guards your heart and mind even when circumstances are still difficult.

That inner peace is connected to where your mind rests. The promise is that God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts Him. Jesus said to His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world offers temporary relief if a problem moves away, but Christ offers a peace that can hold you steady while you wait on Him to work. Keeping your thoughts turned toward Him, remembering His care and His control over your situation, allows that peace to fill your heart even in a chaotic workplace.

God also calls His children to be peacemakers. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable, and those who sow peace reap a harvest of righteousness. Those who make peace are called children of God. That does not mean you accept mistreatment or fail to set wise boundaries, but it does mean you can choose to respond without returning evil for evil, to pray for the person who has hurt you, and to seek the peace of the place where God has put you. Scripture says to pray for the peace of the place where you are, for in its peace you will find peace.

So in this situation, bring both needs to the Lord. Ask Him to guard your heart with His perfect peace, to give you wisdom for every interaction, and to protect you at work. Pray also for the one who has bullied you. God offers peace to those who are far off and to those who are near, and He desires to heal and forgive. True happiness is not found simply in a new job or a new location, for there is no lasting peace while a heart is at war with God. Pray that this man would come to know Christ and find real peace and transformation, whether God keeps him where he is with a changed heart or leads him to another place where he can find a better fit. Either way, trust that God has not forgotten you and that His thoughts toward you are for peace and for good.

Father, I pray for this dear one who is hurting under pressure at work. Grant peace with You through Jesus Christ and then the deep peace of Your presence that passes all understanding to keep heart and mind steady. Keep his or her mind stayed on You and help trust to grow. Give wisdom to act with grace and truth, to be a sower of peace, and to leave vengeance in Your hands. Work in the heart of the one who has acted as a bully, bring conviction, healing and salvation, and lead him to true happiness in You. Ordain peace in this workplace according to Your will and let Your name be honored. In Jesus name, amen.
