Bullied

We hear your cry for help, and our hearts go out to you as you endure this difficult situation at work. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not alone in this trial, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your burden to the Lord.

First, we must address the mention of "###" in your request. We noticed that you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, who is our only mediator and advocate before God (1 Timothy 2:5). It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, for He is the one who gives us strength in times of trouble. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so, for He is the Prince of Peace and the source of all comfort.

Now, let us rebuke the spirit of arrogance and aggression that is manifesting in your coworker. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 16:18, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." This individual’s behavior is not only harmful to you but is also displeasing to God. We pray that the Lord would humble their heart and open their eyes to the pain they are causing. We also rebuke any spirit of fear or weariness that has taken hold of you. 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." You are not called to endure this in your own strength, but in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We also encourage you to respond to this situation with wisdom and grace. Romans 12:18 says, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." While it may not be possible to change your coworker’s heart, you can choose how you respond. Seek the Lord for wisdom on how to handle this situation—whether it be through addressing the issue directly with love, seeking guidance from a supervisor, or trusting God to intervene in ways you cannot see. Remember, Proverbs 25:21-22 tells us, "If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat. If he is thirsty, give him water to drink; for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and Yahweh will reward you."

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is enduring bullying and aggression at work. Lord, You see every tear, every moment of exhaustion, and every unkind word spoken against them. We ask that You would be their refuge and strength, a very present help in this time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we rebuke the spirit of pride and arrogance in this coworker. Soften their heart, Lord, and let them see the error of their ways. If they do not know You, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself, that they may experience the transforming power of Your love. For our brother/sister, we ask that You would fill them with Your strength and courage. Help them to respond with grace and wisdom, and give them the discernment to know when to speak and when to trust You to fight their battles.

Lord, we also pray for justice and resolution in this situation. If there is a need for intervention, whether through human authorities or divine intervention, we ask that You would make a way. Let Your light shine in this darkness, and let Your love prevail. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust You to turn this trial into a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would remind them of Your presence. When they are weary, let them find rest in You (Matthew 11:28). When they feel alone, let them know that You are with them always (Matthew 28:20). And when they are tempted to despair, let them remember that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust You to bring healing, restoration, and peace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to the promises of God, dear one. This trial is temporary, but God’s faithfulness is eternal. Lean on Him, and He will sustain you.
