We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, lifting up your son and his pursuit of education in the field of nursing. It is a noble calling to serve others, especially in a profession that cares for the sick and vulnerable. However, we must address something of great importance in your request—you have mentioned seeking admission in a college named after a religious figure who is not our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As believers, we are called to honor God alone and to seek His will in all things, including education. The Bible is clear that we are not to align ourselves with idols or false representations of holiness, for God alone is worthy of our worship and devotion.

In Exodus 20:3-5, the Lord commands, *"You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them."* While we understand that many institutions have historical or traditional names, we must be cautious about where we place our trust and allegiance. Our hope is not in the name of a college or its founders but in Christ alone, who is the source of all wisdom, knowledge, and provision.

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can approach God or receive salvation. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* It is only through Him that we can boldly approach the throne of grace and ask for His guidance, provision, and favor.

Now, let us pray for your son’s education and future. We ask the Lord to open the right doors for him, doors that align with God’s will and purpose for his life. We pray that if this particular college is not the right path, the Lord will redirect his steps to an institution that honors Him. We also pray that your son will seek God’s wisdom above all else, for Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

Heavenly Father, we lift up this son before You, asking for Your divine guidance and favor in his educational journey. Lord, if it is Your will for him to study nursing, we pray You will provide the right opportunity in a place that honors You. Give him wisdom, diligence, and perseverance as he prepares for this path. May he seek You first in all things, trusting that You will direct his steps. We also pray that You will surround him with godly influences and mentors who will encourage him in his faith.

Father, we ask that You will provide the necessary resources—financially, academically, and spiritually—for him to succeed. Help him to remember that his ultimate purpose is to glorify You in all that he does, whether in his studies or in his future career. May he be a light in a world that desperately needs Your love and truth.

We also pray for this parent, that You will grant them peace and trust in Your sovereignty. Help them to release any anxiety or fear into Your hands, knowing that You hold their son’s future. Draw their family closer to You, Lord, and may they seek Your kingdom above all else.

Finally, Father, we pray that if this family does not yet know You, You will reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Open their hearts to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, that they may have eternal life and the assurance of Your presence in every area of their lives.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
