The Pouting Son
Self-righteousness blinds us to our own faults and demands we judge others less harshly.
The Ministry of Gratitude
True gratitude for Christ’s healing moves us to serve Him immediately in everyday acts of love.
Sisters and Brothers
Faithful sisterhood shapes a brother’s destiny and calls you to stand guard over his life with love and courage.
We join you in lifting up your brother and your whole family before our Heavenly Father in this difficult time of selling land while there is anger and hurt among siblings. We know how painful family division can be, especially when it involves inheritance and property, and we thank you for seeking mercy, forgiveness, and grace for all involved.

We are encouraged that you have asked for patience, wisdom, and forgiveness, for these are exactly what the Lord calls us to pursue. Scripture tells us If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We pray your brother will continually seek the Lord's wisdom in every conversation and decision regarding the land, that he would be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger James 1:19, and that he would find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man Proverbs 3:4.

The anger among family members is something God calls us to lay down. The Word says Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:31-32. We are called to bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do Colossians 3:13. Forgiveness does not mean the hurt was not real, but it releases the heart from bitterness and opens the door for healing. We also remember the exhortation If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18, which reminds us that while we cannot control how others respond, we are responsible to pursue peace with humility and grace.

We also lift up the pain your brother is carrying. The Lord sees his heart and his wounds, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We pray that anxiety and pressure over this task would be replaced by the peace of God.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that we have access to Your throne of grace through Him alone. We ask for Your mercy upon this brother and upon all his siblings. Pour out Your favor upon the task of selling the land, and guide every step so that it may be done honestly, fairly, and in a way that honors You. Grant this brother supernatural patience, wisdom beyond his own understanding, and grace to remain calm and loving even when others are angry. Soften the hearts of the family members who are angry with him, convict them where needed, and help all to practice true forgiveness as You have forgiven us. Heal our brother in every place of pain, whether in body, mind, or spirit, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard his heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Help this family to be reconciled and to reflect Your love to one another. We trust this into Your hands and pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We are grateful you brought your brother and your whole family before the Lord. Carrying both a practical need like selling land and the weight of family anger is heavy, and it makes sense you are asking for mercy, patience and healing for everyone involved.

Land matters can bring old hurts to the surface, and when siblings are angry it is hard to stay gracious. One thing that has helped others is remembering that forgiveness often starts as a decision to release the right to pay back, even while the hurt feelings take longer to quiet. That difference can take pressure off your brother to feel everything is resolved at once, and give space for patience as he interacts with family. It can help him to pause and pray briefly before any difficult conversation, keep notes of what is agreed so memories do not differ later, and if talks grow heated, invite a calm, neutral person both sides respect to sit in, not to take sides but to keep the conversation steady.

We are praying for your brother's wisdom and calm, for softened hearts among the siblings, and for healing from pain that has built up.

Father, we lift this brother to You, ask for Your mercy on this family, grant favor and wisdom in the sale, guard his words with grace and patience, and lead each sibling toward true forgiveness and peace. Heal what hurts and guide every step, in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for your brother in this difficult matter of the land and the anger among the family has been laid before the Lord, and we join our hearts with yours in seeking His mercy and grace.

There is forgiveness with God, and it is a divine forgiveness. I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. When hearts are hardened and words have wounded, we are driven to Him with whom forgiveness rests. It is surprising forgiveness and complete forgiveness, not a partial reckoning but an absolute blotting out of the debt through the blood of Christ, and it is to be had now by every trembling, penitent soul that looks to Jesus. Whatever the history of sin and strife may have been, there is forgiveness with Him, and there is forgiveness to be obtained from God through Jesus Christ His Son alone.

We pray that your brother may know this forgiveness for himself, and that from the fullness of what he has received in Christ he may have patience and wisdom in this trial. May the Lord give him favor in the task set before him concerning the land, and grace in his speech and dealings with those who are angry with him. May the Lord who rests in His love and rejoices over His people with singing grant him a calm spirit, to remain in grace, to speak the truth in love, and to wait upon the Lord with a quiet mind.

We pray also for the siblings, that the Lord in mercy would soften what is hard and heal what is wounded. The pattern set before us is this, Even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. He not only forgave at the first all our sins, but He continues daily to forgive, and His forgiveness is eternal and perfect, keeping no back reckonings. In this same way it becomes a joint work of mutual forgiveness among brethren, to forgive one another freely and heartily as Christ has forgiven us. May the Lord teach all in this family to practice such forgiveness, to overcome evil with good, and to seek no victory but that which is won by love and patience.

We ask the Lord to heal your brother in all his pain, whether of body or of spirit, and to sustain him under the burden he carries. May he be kept from despair by that blessed whisper, There is forgiveness, and may that certainty give him strength to walk uprightly, to act wisely, and to leave the outcome of the sale and of these relationships in the hands of Him who is wise and omnipotent.

We commend your brother and all your family to the God of all grace, trusting that He who has promised oblivion to all our debt for Christ's sake will also give daily wisdom to those who ask Him, and will make His love to be the rule among you. May the Lord bring reconciliation where there has been anger, and peace where there has been pain, for His glory and for your good in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
