Brother
We join you in thanking our Father for this day and for your heart to seek His will and His glory in all things, even in practical matters like dealings with a lawyer. It is good that you have brought this before the Lord and asked that it be done in a way that is pleasing to Him, for whatever we do should be done for His glory.
We are reminded of the promise in Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And also Psalm 37:5, Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. When we commit our legal matters, our decisions, and our conversations to Him, we can trust Him to guide with wisdom and integrity.
We also take comfort in James 1:5, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Legal dealings can be complex and stressful, and we need the wisdom that only God can give to speak truthfully, act justly, and seek what is right. Micah 6:8 reminds us what the Lord requires, to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God, and that should be our desire in every agreement, document, and counsel received.

Father, we thank You for this day that You have made and for Your mercies that are new every morning. We bring our brother before Your throne of grace and ask for Your hand upon his dealings with the lawyer. Grant him wisdom, clarity, and discernment, and grant the lawyer also integrity and fairness. Let no deceit or manipulation take place, but let all be done honestly and justly as You desire. We ask that You would guide every word and decision so that it aligns with Your righteousness and brings glory to Your name. Give our brother peace as he trusts in You, and let him not be anxious, but in everything by prayer let his requests be made known to You as taught in Philippians 4:6. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You according to Romans 8:28, and we ask that the outcome would reflect Your perfect will. We pray all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray and to encourage your brother to seek godly counsel, to be truthful in all things, and to trust the Lord with the outcome, knowing that He is our ultimate Advocate and Judge who loves justice and mercy.

Your prayer on behalf of your brother is a sweet evidence of that love which should rule in all the household of faith, and we do gladly join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.
We know that we have passed from death unto life because we love the brethren, and to bear a brother upon our hearts in prayer is to walk in that love. How good it is to commit every matter, even dealings with lawyers and worldly affairs, to Him who has promised to guide us with His counsel.
It is written, Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. There is no true wisdom for any man who takes his own course, but there is unerring guidance for the soul that bows with submission to the will of God and seeks to avoid everything that is evil. Haste is the author of much mischief, but he who waits upon the Lord and seeks honest dealing with God shall find a straight path.
We pray that your brother may know this guidance in the matter before him. May he be kept from haste and from any crooked way, and may every word spoken and every paper signed be done in honesty and uprightness as before the Lord who sees all things. God's dealings with His people are often mysterious, yet when He appears to us and reveals Himself, we understand His hand. May your brother seek first to know the Lord and His will, and then he shall read His handwriting aright in these earthly dealings.
