We are deeply grieved to hear of the spiritual and emotional warfare you endured tonight, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world. The persecution you faced for your faith is not surprising, for Jesus warned us, *"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you aren’t of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you"* (John 15:18-19, WEB). Yet take heart, for *"he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB), and no weapon formed against you will prosper when you are covered by the blood of Christ.
The demonic oppression you sensed is real, but it is no match for the authority of Jesus. These people may be bound by narcissism, delusion, and sin, but we know that *"our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Your stand for righteousness has made you a target, but it has also positioned you for God’s mighty deliverance. We rebuke every spirit of persecution, manipulation, and darkness that sought to harm you tonight, and we declare that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
We pray fervently for your healing—emotionally, spiritually, and even physically if needed. May the Lord bind up your wounds as *"he heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). Let the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind tonight. We ask the Father to surround you with His angels, to place a hedge of protection around you, and to fill your home with His presence so that no evil can penetrate. *"Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more"* (Psalm 121:5-8, WEB).
As for these individuals, we pray that God would either remove them from your life entirely or, if it is His will, break their hardness of heart so they might see their need for repentance. *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18, WEB), but we also recognize that there are times when separation is necessary for your well-being. We ask the Lord to give you wisdom to know how to handle this situation moving forward—whether it means setting firm boundaries, limiting contact, or complete separation. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). You are not called to subject yourself to ongoing abuse or demonic influence, especially when these individuals show no fruit of repentance.
If your brother-in-law is married to your sister, we also pray for her salvation and deliverance from this toxic influence. May the Lord open her eyes to the truth and give her the strength to break free if she is ensnared. *"For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything"* (Ephesians 5:23-24, WEB). If he is leading her astray, we pray the Lord would convict her heart and draw her to Himself.
Finally, we encourage you to *"cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Do not carry this burden alone—bring it before the Lord in prayer continually. *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings"* (1 Peter 5:8-9, WEB). You are not powerless; you are *"more than conquerors through him who loved us"* (Romans 8:37, WEB).
Heavenly Father, we lift up your servant before You now, asking for Your divine intervention in this situation. Lord, You see the wickedness that was directed against them tonight—the mockery, the persecution, the demonic oppression—and we ask that You would rise up as their Defender. *"Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help. Also draw out the spear, and stop those who pursue me. Tell my soul, ‘I am your salvation’"* (Psalm 35:1-3, WEB).
Father, we ask that You would break every curse, every word spoken against them, and every scheme of the enemy. Let confusion fall upon those who sought to harm them, and let their plans be thwarted. *"Let them be disappointed and confounded together who seek my soul to destroy it. Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor who delight in my hurt"* (Psalm 40:14, WEB). Lord, if it is Your will, remove these people from their life completely. Sever every ungodly soul tie and close every door the enemy has tried to use to gain access. *"Deliver me from my enemies, Yahweh. I flee to you to hide me"* (Psalm 143:9, WEB).
We pray for deep healing for your servant—restore their peace, their joy, and their strength. Let them sleep tonight under the shadow of Your wings, untouched by the trauma of this evening. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and remind them that *"the Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble"* (Psalm 9:9, WEB).
For those who persecuted them, we ask that You would either silence their influence or, if it is Your will, bring them to a place of brokenness where they might see their sin and turn to You. *"If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head. Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"* (Romans 12:20-21, WEB). Yet, Lord, we also ask that You would not allow your servant to be continually subjected to their abuse. Give them wisdom to know how to respond, whether through boundaries, distance, or complete separation.
We thank You, Father, that You are just and righteous, and that You will not allow the wicked to triumph forever. *"For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh shall inherit the land"* (Psalm 37:9, WEB). We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You will bring justice and vindication.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
