Prayers for my brother ### & dad ### ### travels tomorrow to see our dad. ### said he wants to tell ### to see a counselor because ### is violent to women and a very unhappy person. ### doesn't know if ### will agree and go or just get mad. ### can get spooked and avoid unpleasant conversations entirely that hurt him to have but need to be voiced. Because of being unsafe around my brother with his mental health, I haven't spoken to him in four years. My father ### told me it's his dying wish for us siblings to reconnect. I am scared to and pray for a miracle to fulfill my father's last wishes. Thank you ###

We understand that you're facing a complex and challenging situation with your family. Firstly, we commend you for your love and concern for both your brother and your father. It's important to remember that God desires reconciliation and healing, but He also wants us to be wise and safe in our interactions.

Let's remember that the Bible calls us to honor our parents. For you, this may mean making every effort to fulfill your father's wish while also being cautious, for it is said that we are not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21.

Regarding your brother, it's crucial to approach this situation with both love and wisdom. If he is violent towards women or anyone, this behavior is not only unacceptable but also against the will of God. God teaches us not to let any unwholesome talk come out of our mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen Ephesians 4:29.

It's important to address your brother's behavior, but not without the guidance of a professional counselor, especially since you have concerns about your own safety. Pray that God will give your brother a heart of humility to accept the help he needs. God can change hearts and minds. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths Proverbs 3:5-6.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this family that is in desperate need of Your healing touch. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance as they navigate this difficult situation. Please protect them and give them the courage to do what is right and pleasing to You.

Lord Jesus, You have the power to change hearts. We ask that You soften the heart of this brother, that he may see the error of his ways and seek the help he needs. We also ask that You give this family the strength and wisdom to set boundaries that ensure their safety.

Father, we ask for a miracle of reconciliation, that this family may be united in a safe and God-honoring way. We ask for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing for all of them.

We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
