May I ask a question..is Walter working does he have cash flow? Now a days to lend a person money is very risky and when we do I realize it is in good faith.when we give to a friend or family it should be with no fear..Did Walter say he is not paying you back?...
the times we are living in are very difficult people are drowning in debt... and a friend, a true friend, knows her friends heart...is it malice? If he is still in the position he was in (probably worse) since you lent him the money I'm not sure your anger and hurt are justified....if he is being malicious and greedy not to pay you back then he was no friend...
My husband and I borrowed 400 2 years ago...and today we are in a worse place than back then...I do mention it to my daughter and her husband frequently that I know I owe them the money and am still grateful for their kindness and I will pay her back..does she need the money yes...probably as much as I do..I just don't have it...everything is behind but it is all in GOd's hands...He knows.......have you mentioned and inquired of his circumstances.or have you hidden it by being embarrassed to ask? you have the right to ask with no emotions...just a friend inquiring ....it just may be he does not have it...and I'm sure he feels just as bad as you if he does not have it, it is torturing him he knows your angry and upset...he knows that's why he stays away he doesn't know what to say..
that is the chance also of lending someone some money, they might not be able to fulfill their word..
what is more important to you....his friendship or the money...again, if he is still in a bad place...not sure what you would want him to do and if you have a good plan let him know with surety as a friend......I know my situation, not saying it is the best answer but survival kicks in and life just seems to bog us down..but God knows all things and has placed this story in front of you...there is no greater man than he who lays his life down for his brother....what is Walter going through? are you being his friend..or placing judgment on him? unconditional love...there is a lesson here that both of you have to learn in HIM...God bless and I pray that GOD touches you both and makes your friendship all that it can be in Him..in Jesus name...
