This kind of long separation brings a deep and heavy pain, especially with two children involved and the added sorrow of seeing your wife step away from faith. It is understandable that the spiritual pressure would feel constant and overwhelming right now.
Scripture shows us that the question is rarely whether Jesus is able to help and to heal and to restore. He is able. The leper who came to Him understood this when he said, you can make me clean. His only question was whether the Lord was willing. That is often where we live in prayer as well. We know God has all power, but we do not always know how His will and His timing will unfold. For that reason we can bring your marriage and your family to Him with confidence in His power, and with submission to His will, praying not my will but Yours be done, trusting His wisdom to do what is best.
There is a purpose that God can bring even through the testing of faith. The disciples in the storm were full of fear and Jesus spoke to the wind and the sea and brought peace with a word. He has that same authority over every spiritual attack that comes against you and your household. When faith feels small and you wonder how long you can keep trusting, remember that you are kept by the power of God through faith, not by your own strength. Even when Peter failed, his failure was not because Jesus stopped caring for him. The Lord was watching and interceding for him in his weakness. He is interceding for you now in the same way, and He can hold you steady when your own strength feels thin. Do not trust in yourself or boast in what you can do, but lean completely on Him.
You can also come to Jesus the way the four friends brought the paralyzed man. They wanted healing for his body, but Jesus first dealt with the deeper need and said, your sins are forgiven. The greatest need for each of us, for you, for your wife, and for your children, is forgiveness and a right standing with God that only comes through trusting in what Jesus has done for us, His righteousness given to us by faith. True turning to God shows itself in a changed heart and a changed life. So continue to carry your wife and your children to Jesus in prayer, asking first for their souls, that God would draw your wife back to Himself and bring real repentance and restoration.
Keep coming with the simple faith shown by Jairus who believed Jesus could touch his daughter and she would live, and by the woman who believed if she could just touch Jesus she would be made whole. Both trusted Him, and Jesus responded to that faith. Do not set a time limit for how God must work. We often give Him a schedule and then struggle when He does not move on it, but His timing is not ours. Keep praying and keep trusting without giving up.
Each person must come to their own personal faith. Children growing up in a divided home especially need to see and hear what it means to follow Jesus for themselves, and your faithful example and prayers for them matter greatly. Continue to pray that God would create in your wife a new hunger for Him and for His Word, and that He would bring her back to faith in Christ alone for salvation.
Praying that God will guard you and your children in His peace, that He will rebuke the spiritual opposition you are facing, that He will work in your wife's heart to bring her back to Himself, and that He will give you wisdom and endurance to honor your marriage covenant as one man and one woman for life, as God designed it. May He strengthen your faith day by day and make His presence and His will more clear to you as you keep looking to Jesus.
