Beloved of All
Your heart to bring your family back together under one roof is a good and tender desire, and God sees the patience with which you have waited. He knows what home means to you, not just walls and a roof but a place where love is shared and lives are joined together for the next season He has for you.
Scripture reminds us that a house is more than a building. There is a difference between a house that is called the house of God and a house that becomes a house of empty idols. The name may sound spiritual, but what matters is whether God is truly honored there. Jacob once called a place the house of God because he met the Lord there, and when God called him back, the first thing he did was to have his family put away what did not belong before the Lord. As you ask God to release this house and provide the next one, it is a good time to ask Him to make each home, the one you are leaving and the one you hope to enter, a place where mercy and right living are kept and where you wait on Him continually.
We also learn that no house we build can contain God, for even the heavens cannot contain Him. Solomon understood this when he built the house for the Lord. It was great, yet he knew it was only a place to meet God and offer worship. In the same way, your home is not where God lives as if He needed a building, but it can be a place set apart for Him, a place of sacrifice and thanksgiving and prayer. He looked for His people to be like a vineyard that would bring forth justice and righteousness, and His desire has always been to heal and to restore when His people turn to Him.
That is why we do not trust in human strength or strategy alone. The prophet declared that God would save not by bow or sword or battle or horses, but by the Lord Himself. A buyer, a price, a market, these are in human hands, but salvation and provision are in the Lord's hands. He has shown mercy again and again to those who have depended on that mercy alone. Waiting is not wasted when it is waiting on Him. He hides and preserves His own until His purposes are fulfilled, and He draws His people with love even through seasons of uncertainty.
Guard also against trading what is precious for what is cheap. Scripture warns of selling out a relationship with the Lord for a small price, for a quick gain or an easy answer. Do not let the pressure to sell cause you to compromise honesty, peace, or faithfulness. Keep your walk with Him as the greater treasure, and trust Him to provide in His way and time without selling your soul for pennies.
I pray for you now that the Lord will in His mercy provide the right buyer in His timing, one who will appreciate the care you have put into this home. I pray He will open the door to the new home you need and make a way for your family to be reunited with joy and strength for the chapter ahead. May He keep your family in His peace as you wait, establish your home as a place where His name is honored, and lead every step by His grace. May all of this be done according to His will and for His glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope and our salvation.
