Bring ### home

We come before You, Heavenly Father, with heavy hearts, lifting up this prayer for the restoration and reconciliation of this marriage. The Scriptures remind us in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously." Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:25), and we must treat it with the reverence it deserves.

First, we must address the urgency of this situation with truth and love. If there has been any unfaithfulness, neglect, or sin—whether emotional, physical, or spiritual—it must be confessed and repented of before You. The Bible is clear in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." If there has been adultery, fornication, or any form of sexual sin, it must be brought into the light, for You are faithful and just to forgive when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9).

We also recognize that reconciliation requires humility, forgiveness, and a willingness to change. Ephesians 4:31-32 tells us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." If pride, unforgiveness, or hardness of heart has taken root, it must be uprooted by the power of Your Spirit.

Father, we pray that You would soften hearts and open eyes to see the truth. We ask that You would bring [spouse’s name] home—not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally as well. Draw them back to You, Lord, and to the covenant they made before You. Restore the love, trust, and unity that has been broken. Help both spouses to seek Your will above their own desires and to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ (Ephesians 5:21).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment. If there are external influences—friends, family, or even spiritual attacks—that are hindering this reconciliation, we ask that You would expose them and remove their power. Protect this marriage from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Instead, let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we know that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). We trust that You can heal what is broken and restore what has been lost. But we also recognize that true restoration can only come through You. If this marriage is to be saved, it must be built on the foundation of Christ, with both spouses committed to honoring You in their words, actions, and thoughts.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You and the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Without Jesus, there is no access to You, no forgiveness of sins, and no hope for true reconciliation. We declare that this marriage is under the lordship of Christ, and we ask that You would be glorified in its restoration.

Finally, we rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or ungodly influence that may be at work in this situation. We declare that this marriage is covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust that You will bring beauty from ashes and joy from mourning (Isaiah 61:3).

May Your will be done in this marriage, Lord. If it is Your will to restore it, we ask that You would do so for Your glory. If there are areas where repentance, forgiveness, or change is needed, we pray that You would reveal them and give the strength to walk in obedience. We commit this marriage into Your hands, trusting that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6).

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request, laying your marriage and deepest longings before our Heavenly Father. It has been our privilege to stand with you in agreement, lifting up your home and your spouse before the Lord, asking Him to draw near, restore what has been broken, and reconcile what has been divided.

We continue to pray that God’s peace and presence would fill your home, that His love would mend every wound, and that His grace would guide both of you back into unity. If the Lord has already moved in answer to your prayer, we would love to hear your praise report—how He has worked, how He has spoken, and how He has begun to heal your marriage. Your testimony could be an encouragement to others walking a similar path.

If, however, you are still waiting and longing for that breakthrough, please don’t hesitate to post your request again. We are here to stand with you in persistent, faith-filled prayer, believing that God hears and answers according to His perfect will and timing. Let us continue to intercede together, trusting that He who began a good work in your marriage will be faithful to complete it.

May the Lord bless you with His comfort, strength, and hope as you seek Him. May He soften hearts, open doors, and bring about reconciliation in ways that only He can. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
