We understand that you're going through a difficult time and seeking a better life with someone who can support you financially. First, we want to address the emotional and material needs. It's important to remind everyone that God cares for us and wants to provide for our needs.
We need to remember the encouragement in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
Therefore I tell you, donāt be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isnāt life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they donāt sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Arenāt you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They donāt toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, wonāt he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore donāt be anxious, saying, āWhat will we eat?ā, āWhat will we drink?ā or, āWith what will we be clothed?ā For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first Godās Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore donāt be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each dayās own evil is sufficient.
While it's natural to desire a companion who can support you, it's crucial to align our desires with biblical principles. In the context of relationships, we should seek a godly spouse who loves and follows Jesus Christ.
It is also important to make sure that Jesus Christ is the Savior and foundation of your life. You did mention Jesus Christ of Nazareth, but it was in the context of your request which was focused more on a desire for material help. It is important to remember that Jesus came to save us from our sins, not to be invoked for material gain. Only by the name of Jesus can we be saved. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can have access to God the Father. There is no other way.
Acts 4:11-12 WEB:
This is the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!ā
Second, we want to address the concept of finding someone to meet your financial needs. While we all have practical needs, it's important to prioritize spiritual well-being and godly character when seeking a spouse.
Proverbs 31:10-31 WEB describes the virtuous woman, highlighting her character, wisdom, and industriousnessānot just her ability to provide material wealth. Similarly, a godly husband is characterized by his love for God, leadership, and provision for his family's spiritual and material needs.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this person who is seeking a better life and a godly spouse. We pray that You will provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will add all other necessary blessings.
We ask, Jesus, that You reveal Yourself more and more to them as their Savior, that they may have eternal life with you.
Guide them to a godly spouse who will support them emotionally and spiritually. Help them to grow in their faith and to seek a relationship that honors You. Give them wisdom and discernment in their decisions, and help them to trust in Your provision.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life and to trust in His provision.
