True gratitude for Christ’s healing moves us to serve Him immediately in everyday acts of love.
God calls doctors to heal with skill and faith so they must trust Him in their work.
We join with you in lifting up your beloved wife and your family before the throne of grace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and we thank you for calling upon His most holy and loving name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved and healed. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and we rejoice that you have come boldly to Him in this time of great need.
We are deeply moved by your love for your wife and your concern for your young teenage son as you walk through this difficult diagnosis of breast cancer. We stand with you in honoring your marriage, which God has ordained as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and we see your faithfulness as a husband seeking to cover your wife in prayer. God sees your family and He is not distant from your suffering.
Scripture reminds us of the compassion and healing power of our God. He says, I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26 and Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We also cling to His promise, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and He tells us, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We encourage you to continue to trust both in the Lord’s healing hand and in the wisdom He gives to physicians, and to cast all your anxiety upon Him because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. We also encourage you to surround your wife and your son with the peace of God which surpasses all understanding as you pray together without ceasing Philippians 4:6-7, and to remember that even in this trial, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this dear wife and mother to You. Lord, You know her by name, You formed her body, and You see the cancer that afflicts her. We ask in Jesus' name that You would lay Your healing hand upon her, that You would rebuke this disease and restore her body to health according to Your perfect will. Father, guide the hands and minds of her doctors and nurses, give them wisdom and skill in every decision and treatment. Pour out Your peace upon her heart and remove all fear, and pour out Your strength upon her husband as he leads his family through this valley, and upon their young son that he would feel Your presence and protection and not be overcome with anxiety. Lord, let this family feel Your nearness, let Your joy be their strength, and let Your hope anchor their souls. We pray that this trial would draw them even closer to You and to one another in their marriage and family. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Great Physician and our only hope, amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word, to call upon the elders of your church to pray over her and anoint her with oil as taught in James 5:14-15, and to allow your church family to bear this burden with you. Keep trusting in the loving Lord Jesus day by day. We are continuing to pray with you for complete healing, for comfort, and for the Lord to sustain your family in the days ahead.

We have heard your earnest cry concerning your dear wife and we count it a privilege to bear this burden with you before the throne of grace. To see one so young, in her early thirties, visited with this sore affliction of breast cancer, and to feel the added weight of care for your early teen son, must indeed try your soul. Yet you have done well to call upon the most loving Lord Jesus, for He is the great Physician, and abundant streams of healing flow down from Him to men below.
The Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and we are taught there that even the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, and we may come to Him with all confidence for soul and body. When our Lord healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, to show us that pardon and healing are in happy conjunction in His hands. Seek Him first for the healing of the soul, which is the greater mercy, and seek Him also for the body, according to His wise and loving will.
Therefore labor to get rid, as much as possible, of fear. So often does the Lord say to His people, Fear not. Fear not, for I am with you. Fear not, you worm Jacob, I will help you. It is not merely the preacher who cries Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. To be afraid is to dishonor Him whose arm piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth. Fear is weakening, but faith looks into the Saviour's breast and finds mercy written there. Let that mercy be your refuge now.

O most loving Lord Jesus, Sun of Righteousness with healing in His wings, look in compassion upon this dear wife and mother. Lay Your hand upon her in this trial of breast cancer. If it be Your will, restore her to health and spare her for her husband and her son. Give skill and wisdom to those who care for her, give peace to her heart, and let her feel Your presence very near. Forgive her sins and heal her infirmities, for with You is both pardon and healing. Sustain her husband who loves her and intercedes for her, and keep their son under the shadow of Your wing. Help this family to trust Your promise, Fear not, for I will help you, and to know that whether You heal by Your immediate power or by Your appointed means, You do all things well.
