Unresolved anger and bitterness give the enemy a foothold, but praise God, He has provided a way for you to be free through repentance, forgiveness, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Scripture warns us that *"if you have bitterness, jealousy, self-seeking, confusion, and every evil thing, there will be disorder and every evil practice"* (James 3:16, WEB). But God calls us to something higher: *"Put away from yourself a perverse mouth. Put corrupt lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead. Fix your gaze directly before you. Make the path of your feet level. Let all of your ways be established. Don’t turn to the right hand nor to the left. Remove your foot from evil"* (Proverbs 4:24-27, WEB). We also rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). If you have not already surrendered every area of your life to Him—including these hidden sins—we urge you to do so now. Confess them before the Lord, for *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).
