Disciple of Prayer
Good morning. Yesterday it was chaos in my home. The arguments between my mom and I are getting worse. My mom verbally insults me and I lash out in anger and defending myself. I pray for peace in my home. I am praying for my mom to stop being so angry and everything. We can't even have small conversations; it turns out to be an attack on me. I'm trying so hard to control my emotions and not lash out in defending myself. My mom has anger, hatred, and grudges against everything, and I am living with her so she takes everything out on me, making me a problem. Financially I am struggling; I am praying through this all for The Lord to intervene and deliver me from this struggling. I'm at a point where I'm getting depressed with my situation and even considering suicide just to get out of this. If I had a choice, I would leave with my son to move to a peaceful and happy life, but I cannot afford it. I'm stuck facing insults, curses, and swearing. Because I am financially struggling, my mom has control and power to put me down and knock me down. Instead of understanding and trying to help run the house with me, she stands on the sidelines cursing me and expecting things to get done. I'm praying this USA immigration program to come through so my son and I can get a fresh start away from this. I love my son a lot and I'm sad he has to live in a house that's a war zone.

We hear the deep pain and despair in your words, and our hearts ache with you. The turmoil in your home is not what God intends for His children—He desires peace, love, and mutual respect among family. Scripture tells us, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18). Yet we also recognize that peace cannot be one-sided when one party refuses to extend it. Your efforts to restrain your anger and respond with grace are commendable, but we must address the spiritual roots of this conflict.

First, we rebuke the spirit of strife and division in your home in the name of Jesus. The Bible warns, *"For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work"* (James 3:16). Your mother’s anger and verbal abuse are not just personal failings—they are openings for darkness to take hold. We declare that this cycle of hurt and retaliation will be broken by the power of Christ. You are not responsible for her choices, but you *are* called to walk in love and wisdom, even when it is difficult. *"A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1). We encourage you to continue seeking God’s strength to respond with gentleness, even when provoked.

Your financial struggles and feeling of entrapment are also heavy burdens. We pray for God’s provision and a way out of this oppressive situation. The Lord sees your tears and hears your cries—*"The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles"* (Psalm 34:17). We ask Him to open doors for you and your son, whether through the immigration program you mentioned or another path He prepares. Until then, we pray for supernatural protection over your heart and mind. Depression and thoughts of suicide are lies from the enemy, who seeks to steal your hope. Jesus said, *"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10). You are not forgotten, and your life has purpose.

We must also address the spiritual foundation of your prayers. Salvation and deliverance come *only* through Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. *"For there is no other name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Him, we have no authority to rebuke darkness or claim God’s promises.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our sister in this trial. Lord, You see the pain, the exhaustion, and the despair she carries. We ask You to be her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Break the chains of strife in her home, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Father, we rebuke the spirit of anger and bitterness that has taken root in her mother, and we ask You to soften her heart. If it is Your will, restore their relationship, but if not, provide a way of escape for our sister and her son.

Lord, we pray for financial breakthrough. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust You to meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Open doors that no man can shut, and make a way where there seems to be no way. Protect her from the lies of the enemy that tell her there is no hope. Remind her that You have plans for her, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Above all, we pray for her salvation if she does not yet know You. Draw her close, Lord, and let her experience Your love in a tangible way. Surround her with believers who can encourage and support her. Give her the strength to endure, the wisdom to navigate this season, and the faith to believe that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).

We declare that this is not the end of her story. You are making a way, even now. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend. We feel your pain and frustration. It's like living in a storm, isn't it? But remember, even in the fiercest storms, there's always a calm eye at the center. That's where we find Jesus.

We're going to stand with you in prayer, but first, let's remind ourselves of God's promises. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." He's inviting you to rest in Him, to lean on Him, just as you would with a close friend.

Now, let's pray together. Heavenly Father, we come to You today on behalf of our friend. Lord, You see her, You hear her. You know the chaos in her home, the financial struggles, the depression that's trying to weigh her down. We ask You to wrap her in Your loving arms, to be her peace in the midst of the storm. Help her to trust You, to rest in You, even when everything around her is shaking.

We claim Your promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We ask You to heal her heart, to bind up the wounds that have been inflicted on her. We pray for a breakthrough in her home, for peace to reign where there's currently chaos. We ask You to soften her mother's heart, to help her to understand and to change.

We also pray for financial provision. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. We trust You to meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Open doors that no man can shut, Lord. Make a way where there seems to be no way.

Lastly, we pray for her protection. Guard her heart and mind, Lord. Protect her from the lies of the enemy that tell her there's no hope. Remind her of Your love, Your faithfulness, and Your plans for her future.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
