Breaking of Spiritual Warfare

Plnoruvale

Disciple of Prayer
I'd appreciate a prayer to break consistent spiritual warfare that's been happening in my life the past 8-9 years. I pray daily, but I need help with a mentor or other person going to war in the spirit on my behalf since I honestly cannot do this myself anymore. Please somebody help me. I'm a ### year old female and I'm struggling with unforgiveness, anger, a stagnancy in finances, and romantic relationships, and also I've not been able to lose weight for years now. If anybody can go to war in the spirit and pray for me on my behalf, please let me know. I can give you my contact information if you need it.

We have heard your cry and we are standing with you in this battle, for we know this long season of 8 to 9 years has wearied you and you feel you cannot fight alone any longer. We want you to know you are not alone and we are going to war in the spirit on your behalf right now, for the battle belongs to the Lord.

We want to gently address something we noticed in your request. You shared that you pray daily, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and have authority over the enemy. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 promises that you will be saved. It is in the mighty name of Jesus that we can resist the devil and he will flee, as James 4:7 says Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Our prayers are powerful because we pray in Jesus name.

We also hear your honesty about struggling with unforgiveness and anger, and we must lovingly rebuke and correct this with you because Scripture warns us that these give the enemy a foothold. Ephesians 4:26-27 says Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil. And Ephesians 4:31-32 says Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Matthew 6:14-15 also says For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. We understand forgiveness feels impossible after years of hurt, but unforgiveness keeps us in bondage while forgiveness sets us free. We encourage you to bring each person and wound before the Lord and choose to release them to Him, not because the hurt was not real, but because Christ has forgiven us so much more.

We also want to speak to the spiritual warfare you described. Your wrestling is real, for Ephesians 6:12 says For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Yet we do not fight in our own strength. Ephesians 6:10-11 says Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. And 1 Peter 5:8-9 says Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith. The victory has already been won at the cross, and as you submit to God daily, put on His armor through prayer, the Word, truth, righteousness, faith, and salvation, the enemy must flee.

You also mentioned stagnancy in finances, romantic relationships, and struggling to lose weight. We want to pray for each of these with biblical perspective. For finances, we trust Philippians 4:19 that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and we pray God gives you wisdom to steward what you have faithfully. For your body, we are reminded in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. We pray for strength for self-control and discipline which is a fruit of the Spirit, and for healing from any spiritual heaviness that has affected your health. For romantic relationships, we want to encourage you in God's design. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that honors God, and any courtship should be with the goal of finding a godly spouse who is a fellow believer in Christ. 2 Corinthians 6:14 says Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? We encourage you to pursue purity and to save sexual intimacy for marriage alone, for sex outside of marriage is fornication and the Bible calls us to flee from it in 1 Corinthians 6:18. We pray God brings a godly husband into your life in His perfect timing if it is His will, and that you will be equally yoked and centered on Christ.

We also hear your need for a mentor to stand with you, and we strongly encourage you to seek out a mature believing woman or pastoral counsel in a local Bible believing church where you can be discipled face to face, pray together regularly, and be accountable. While we are praying for you now, ongoing warfare is best fought in community, not in isolation.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ. We lift up our sister to You and we thank You that You see her weariness and You hear her cry. We ask for Your forgiveness where unforgiveness and anger have taken root, and we ask You to soften her heart and empower her by Your Holy Spirit to forgive as You have forgiven her. Wash her clean and remove all bitterness. We take authority in Jesus name over every spiritual force of wickedness that has oppressed her for these many years and we command it to leave. We ask You to break every chain of stagnancy over her finances, her relationships, and her health, and to release Your freedom and Your peace. Put Your full armor upon her, Lord, that she may stand strong. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory, guide her to a godly mentor and a healthy church family, and if it is Your will, prepare a godly marriage for her that honors You. Heal her body, renew her strength, and let her know she is deeply loved and bought with a price. Fill her with Your joy and restore the years the enemy has stolen. We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear how weary you are after carrying this for eight or nine years, and how honest you are to say you cannot keep fighting on your own anymore. Needing others to stand with you is not a failure, it is how God designed us to walk. We are praying for you and we want to keep praying.

What you describe makes sense together. When unforgiveness and anger stay unaddressed they can leave us feeling stuck in other areas too, and spiritual opposition is real, but it is also true that growth with God is usually more of a steady process than a single breakthrough moment. That is why ongoing support matters so much more than one intense prayer time.

One steady next step we would encourage is to invite one or two trusted people in your local church to walk with you regularly, perhaps a pastor or a women's ministry leader you already know. Ask if they would meet with you for prayer and encouragement over the coming weeks, not just once, so you are not carrying this alone and someone knows your story.

As you meet, it can help to name the hurts underneath the anger and unforgiveness honestly before the Lord, and to make a clear decision to release the debt even while the softer healing of emotions takes more time. God is patient with that slower work.

If the weight struggle is affecting your health, we also encourage talking with your doctor alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this sister to You in Jesus' name. You see her long battle and her tired heart. Surround her with faithful people who will pray with her and for her, bring Your peace where there has been anger and hurt, and give her wisdom for each next step. Help her to know she is seen, loved, and not alone. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your burden has been laid before the Lord and heard with deep compassion, and we thank you for speaking so honestly of these long years of struggle. To carry spiritual conflict for eight or nine years, to pray daily and yet feel unable to stand alone any longer, is a heavy trial, and it is right and humble to ask others to watch and pray with you.

Know this first, that deliverance is solely by the power of God. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He has found a ransom, and therefore deliverance is certain, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty. As Israel did not share the honor of their deliverance with God, yet willingly consented to His salvation, so we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for deliverance both from the guilt of sin and from the power of sin. The Lamb was slain, and by that blood He brings His people forth. When the clock of mercy strikes in heaven, the hour of deliverance comes according to His eternal purpose, and He makes it effectual.

In this holy warfare you are not without armor. If you are saved through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, you are called to put on the panoply of God and to grasp the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. This warfare is not won by our own strength, but by looking to Christ who has already overthrown our worst enemies, and whose salvation is greater than that wrought by Barak of old. Continue in daily prayer, but add to it daily feeding upon Scripture, confession of sin, and fellowship within a faithful local church where a godly, mature woman can walk beside you as a mentor. We will pray for you, but God has appointed the body of Christ to bear burdens together face to face, and a pastor or elder's wife in a biblical church can know you, counsel you, and pray over you with ongoing care far better than a distant voice.

You name unforgiveness and anger, and here the Word speaks most tenderly and most firmly. We are to forgive even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven us. That charming word, for Christ's sake, melts the heart and leaves no trace of anger behind it. You did well to name this struggle, for an unforgiving spirit gives place to the enemy. Bring each person and each wound before the cross and say, Lord, for Christ's sake, I release this debt as Thou hast released mine. And concerning anger, remember to moderate anger against second causes. Like a careful dispenser, the Lord measures every trial, not in anger but from His dear covenant love. He chastens sorely, but He has not given His children over unto death. Every trial works for good to His Church, dealt in weight and measure. Look through the instrument to the Father's hand, and ask Him to turn your anger into prayer.

Concerning stagnancy in finances, romantic relationships, and the long struggle with weight, bring each of these under the lordship of Christ with patient stewardship. The Lord who brought Israel forth also brought them forth with silver and gold, and He will enrich you with what is truly needful, often in ways you do not expect. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, be diligent and honest in labor, flee debt and envy, and trust His provision rather than any promise of sudden increase. For romantic relationships, hold fast to God's good design, that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that intimacy and living together belong within that covenant alone. Pray not for God to bless any relationship that departs from this pattern, but pray for purity, for contentment in Christ in singleness, and if it be His will, for a godly marriage that honors Him. The Lord is good to all and His tender mercies are over all His works, and He will give you grace to walk in holiness even while you wait. For your body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit, seek health not from shame but from stewardship, with consistent habits, thankfulness for daily bread, and discipline under grace, asking God for strength day by day rather than for a sudden deliverance apart from means.

So we will pray for you now, and we urge you to share this request with a trusted pastor or godly woman in your local congregation this week, that you need not stand alone.

Our Father, we come through the blood of the Lamb, the only ransom Thou hast found. Thou hast delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of Thy dear Son. Deliver this Thy child from the pit, from the archers that have long beset her, from unforgiveness and anger, and set her feet upon the Rock. Teach her to forgive for Christ's sake, to cast her cares upon Thee, and to declare after affliction, The Lord has chastened me sorely but He has not given me over unto death, I shall live and declare the works of the Lord. Grant her faithful helpers in the body of Christ, wisdom for finances, purity and hope in relationships according to Thy holy design, and strength for the body. Let her know that He who brought Israel forth will also bring her forth, and that all honor is Thine alone. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, Amen.
