The dreams you are describing are not simply random images. They have felt targeted, even oppressive, and you have rightly sensed that something spiritual is at work. Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that troubled his spirit so deeply he could not sleep, and he knew there was a meaning he had to find. These persons you see monitoring and afflicting you in the dream are not beyond the reach of that same mercy. When Nehemiah faced persistent attacks meant to stop the work, he said, “Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God and set a watch against them day and night.” That is a wise pattern. You have prayed for deliverance; now set a watch over your own heart and mind. Do not let the residue of a troubling dream cling to your waking thoughts and steal your peace. You belong to Jesus Christ, and no dream sent against you can override the word of His promise.
