We join you in lifting up this urgent plea for deliverance and spiritual protection, for we know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The occult is a dangerous and deceptive snare of the enemy, and we stand firmly against it in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over every power of darkness through His death and resurrection.
It is clear that the enemy is seeking to entangle this young woman in bonds that lead only to destruction. The friendship she has formed with this "karmic kitchen witch" is not of God, for the Scriptures warn us, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14-15). The practices of witchcraft, divination, and the occult are explicitly condemned in Scripture as detestable to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). There is no middle ground—either we walk in the light of Christ or we are ensnared by the darkness.
We pray that the Holy Spirit will open her eyes to the truth, that He will grant her a spirit of discernment to recognize the deception she is under. May the Lord expose the lies of the enemy and reveal to her the snare that has been set before her. We ask that every occult tie—every curse, every ungodly soul tie, every influence of darkness—be broken and severed by the power of the blood of Jesus. Let the chains of the enemy be shattered, and let her be set free to walk in the liberty that Christ has purchased for her.
We also pray for you, who are interceding on her behalf. Your heart’s cry for her deliverance is a reflection of God’s own heart for His children. Continue to stand in the gap, but remember that your trust must be in the Lord alone, not in your own efforts or desires. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). While it is right to pray for restored friendship, we must surrender even that desire to the Lord’s will. If this relationship is to be restored, let it be for His glory and according to His purpose—not to draw her back into worldly influences, but to point her toward Christ.
Father, we come before You now in the name of Jesus, pleading the blood of Christ over this young woman. We ask that You would rescue her from the clutches of the occult and break every ungodly connection she has formed. Lord, reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way—let her encounter Your love, Your truth, and Your holiness. Draw her out of darkness and into Your marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9). Surround her with godly influences and remove every stumbling block that the enemy has placed in her path.
We rebuke the spirits of deception, witchcraft, and rebellion that seek to hold her captive. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee and to never return. Fill the void in her life with Your Holy Spirit, that she may hunger and thirst for righteousness and find her satisfaction in You alone.
Lord, we also ask that You would protect her mind and heart from the lies of the enemy. Let her see the danger of the path she is on and turn away from it with repentance. If she has participated in any occult practices, we pray that she would renounce them completely, confessing them before You and receiving Your forgiveness and cleansing. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).
Finally, we pray that You would raise up strong believers in her life—those who will speak Your truth in love and walk alongside her as she seeks to follow You. If it is Your will, restore the friendship between her and the one praying for her, but only if it will glorify You and lead her closer to Christ.
We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the Lord will complete the good work He has begun in her (Philippians 1:6). May she come to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and may her life be a testimony of Your redeeming power.
In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen.
