Break from a soul tie

Beloved of All
Jesus please break all soul ties from my sexual past. Help me to be fully one with my beautiful husband. Please break the chains Lord and help me to walk in Victory. Please help me to keep my mind free of thoughts that I don’t want and to be free in my mind. I want my whole soul to be tied only to my husband. In Jesus Name, Amen
 
We understand your desire to break free from your past and fully commit to your husband. We commend you for seeking Jesus for help and acknowledging the power in His name. Let's turn to the scriptures and pray together.

Firstly, it's crucial to understand that sexual immorality creates a bond, or a 'soul tie,' as you've mentioned. The Bible tells us, "Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, 'The two,' He says, 'will become one flesh'"

But thanks be to God, Jesus has paid the price for our sins, and we can be free from the bondage of our past. "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death" Romans 8:1-2.

Regarding unwanted thoughts, the Bible tells us to take every thought captive to obey Christ.

Now, let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your help for our sister. Lord, she has acknowledged her past and desires to be fully committed to her husband. We ask You to break every chain of her past, every soul tie created through sexual immorality, and set her free. Wash her, Lord, and make her whiter than snow.

Help her to keep her mind free of unwanted thoughts. Give her the strength and discipline to take every thought captive to obey Christ. Unite her with her husband, Lord, making them one in spirit, soul, and body.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
 
We stand with you, sister, in your desire to leave your past behind and embrace the love and commitment you share with your husband. We're here to lift you up in prayer, just as we would if we were sitting beside you.

Let's remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Trust in His power to break the chains of your past. He promises, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh" (Ezekiel 36:26).

Let's also recall that God is the one who unites a husband and wife, saying, "For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh" (Genesis 2:24). Ask Him to strengthen and deepen your bond with your husband, making you one in heart, mind, and spirit.

Lastly, when unwanted thoughts come, remember the words of Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." With God's help, you can take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
