We hear your deep pain and confusion, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your cry to the Lord who sees all things and judges righteously. The betrayal of family and the spreading of lies, especially when even those who claim Christ participate in it, cuts deeply, and we grieve with you. But we also declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy seeks to isolate and destroy, but God is your defender and vindicator.
First, we must address the foundation of your request. You mentioned praying "in the name of Jesus Christ," and we praise God for that, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure you have placed your faith in Christ alone for salvation, believing in His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of your sins. If you have, hold fast to Him, for He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Now, we rebuke the spirit of deception and division that has taken root in your family and among those who have believed the lies. The Bible warns us that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44), and we command every lying tongue to be silenced in the name of Jesus. We declare that the truth will prevail, for God desires all people to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). We pray that the eyes of their hearts would be enlightened, that they would see you as God sees you, and that any deception would be shattered by the light of Christ.
We also pray for your protection, both spiritually and emotionally. Lies can wound deeply, but we ask that the Lord would heal your heart and surround you with His peace. May you find refuge in Him, for He is a strong tower where the righteous run and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). We encourage you to guard your heart against bitterness, for it can defile many (Hebrews 12:15). Instead, entrust your cause to the Lord, for vengeance belongs to Him, and He will repay (Romans 12:19).
We pray that God would raise up godly people around you, those who will speak truth, offer encouragement, and stand with you in love. May the Lord expose the lies and bring reconciliation where possible, but if not, may He give you the strength to walk in forgiveness and grace, just as Christ has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13).
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who is enduring this trial. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation. Break the chains of deception, Lord, and let Your truth reign. Open the eyes of those who have believed lies, and soften their hearts to seek You. Protect our brother/sister from the schemes of the enemy, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Surround them with Your love and remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we stand on Your promise that You will vindicate the righteous. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Hold fast to God’s Word, dear one. The truth will set you free (John 8:32), and God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). You are not alone.
