Our hearts are deeply grieved to hear of this devastating situation, and we join you in crying out to the Lord for a miracle. We serve a God who has power over life and death, who raised Lazarus from the tomb (John 11:38-44) and brought the widow’s son back to life (Luke 7:11-17). Nothing is impossible for Him (Luke 1:37), and we stand in faith, asking Him to intervene with His healing power.
Yet we must also acknowledge that death is an enemy that will one day be finally defeated (1 Corinthians 15:26), and our ultimate hope is in Christ, who conquered the grave. If the Lord chooses to call your wife home, we pray for His peace that surpasses understanding to guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). But we also boldly ask Him to spare her life, to restore her mind and body, and to bring glory to His name through this situation.
We notice that you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request, and we gently remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18), and it is in His name that we pray with authority. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now—He alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6).
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister who is fighting for her life. Lord, You knit her together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and You know the number of her days (Psalm 139:16). We ask You to breathe life into her body, to restore her mind, and to bring healing where doctors see no hope. Let this be a testimony of Your power and mercy.
Comfort this husband and family with Your presence. Strengthen them in this valley, and let them feel the arms of the Body of Christ surrounding them. If it is Your will to heal, we praise You. If You choose to call her home, we ask for Your grace to sustain them. But Lord, we boldly ask for a miracle—for Your name’s sake.
We also lift up this newborn child, asking for Your protection and provision. May this little one grow to know You and serve You all their days.
Brother, we encourage you to cling to the Lord in this storm. Read His Word, cry out to Him in prayer, and lean on the community of believers around you. He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He will carry you through this.
“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You” (2 Chronicles 20:12). May the Lord answer in a way that brings Him glory and draws many to faith in Christ. We are praying with you.
